The Queue: Sushi WoW

Anyone want to go get some sushi with me today?
No?
OK, fine. Be that way, Queue. I'll go by myself. More spicy tuna for me!
Andy asked:
Are there any plans to improve the Guild Finder in 5.0 or beyond? Like a Class/Spec filter or a blacklist much like your personal ignore list but guild-wide
If there are any plans, I haven't heard a peep out of Blizzard about them. On a more philosophical level, I'm not sure that the guild finder needs much tweaking like that. If it had finer granular control over class/spec needs, then it could have a couple major negative effects:
- Player character creation choices could be dictated by the needs of the realm, and players are not always correct in their raid balancing paradigms.
- There's nothing stopping rampant abuse of the guild finder to dilute and lessen other guilds' chances of finding the right player. Say Guild A and B were feuding, as guilds are wont to do. Guild B is looking for a boomkin and needs one to advance to the next stage in raiding. Guild A would be able to pepper the realm listing with fake guilds looking for boomkins, just to hold back guild B.
- Guilds might become a sour place where the only apps are those that it dictates the need for, as opposed to viewing all the apps that come in. How many times has your guild not been looking for an awesome shadow priest when one randomly apps? It happens, and that's some of the best random social occurence in WoW.
Amy asked:
Is there any news on wether the mounts / titles from the Ulduar and ICC achievements will still be atainable in MoP? Or will the Glory of the Ulduar/Icecrown Raider achievements be removed?
There's every indication they'll still be available. Blizzard seems to like leaving them in as an attractive way to get players to run older content. And you know what? I love that they're still there, too. Good on you, Blizzard.
PhilD asked:
Will Argent Tournament progress AND pets be saved across account AND factions? Because I was about to start working on exchanging Horde for Alliance pets on my Horde character, before I stopped today and thought: wait, what if I'll get them in Mists anyway? Any input would be appreciated, thanks!
Your progress in the Argent Tournament is not being shared across characters. It's still specific to your character, and all indications are that it will still be reset if you faction-swap. Argent Tournament pets, however, are going to be available across your entire account. After you buy them, they're just like any other pet.
AshW asked:
What do you guys think about a shared gold pool between all your toons on the same server? Would there be any negatives for something like this?
I think this is in the realm of one of the last mechanics Blizzard needs to implement in order to get thing really smoothed over on the alt support front. I don't think the solution is shared gold, however, but instead a shared bank which you can then deposit gold into. There's something to be said for saving your gold by not having it on your character all the time and staring you in the face, but instead having it tucked away on an alt. That's a very important principle in wealth management in general, and it's in WoW's best interest to allow this to continue as more gold sinks are put into the game.
