The Queue: I'll take one immortality, please
Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Alex Ziebart will be your host today.
Staying up all night to watch the Perseids this weekend reminded me of watching the Hale-Bopp Comet in the sky when I was a kid. Watching the Hale-Bopp is an extremely fond memory, so I jumped on Wikipedia to check if it would be coming back around at some point in my lifetime.
The Hale-Bopp is scheduled to return to our solar system in the year 4385. Uh ... see you guys then?
hierakles2289 asked:
Can we expect to be able to create lvl 90 premade characters in the beta, or is Blizz satisfied with the number of people that are leveling up to that point? I want to try some of the new abilities, but don't want to spoil the content on the way there.
Raid testing seems to be progressing just fine, so I doubt we'll see level 90 premades.
OllyCollins asked:
Are we ever going to see anything written about Shamans on here again? Like tips and tricks discovered from the Beta? I've seen warriors, Arcane Brilliance, How to swing your light thing blah blah blah, but nothing for us shams who didn't get a beta key.
Our restoration column has been publishing according to schedule all throughout beta. Elemental and enhancement hasn't been, and I'm currently trying to sort that out.
ManastuUtakata asked:
Um...those fishing nodes around Darkmoon Island. What is the status of those after MoP? Will they continue to drop mats for Cata or upgrade to mats for MoP? Will there be restrictions on them during MoP's release (ie. you have be to level 876 with Fishing skil level 12987 to access them)? Or will they even be allowed to spawn at all; hence, removed from the game entirely?
Last we knew, the fishing nodes on Darkmoon Island still supply Cataclysm materials. However, the Faire is inactive right now, so we can't go check to see if it has been updated recently. My personal guess is that the Darkmoon Faire is going to be mostly unchanged with the launch of the expansion (with the very few exceptions we've seen over the course of the beta), and then a content patch deeper into the expansion is going to give it a Misty revival.
lawman30 asked:
In MoP pets will be account wide. If I have two characters that each have a copy of the same rare pet (like the Argent Tourney pets or the Hyacinth Macaw), in Mists will I have two of those pets and be able to sell one or will I only have one copy of each? I do have many toons that each have certain Tourney pets and I have 2 toons that each have a Hyacinth Macaw. I'd obviously love being able to sell those because of their rarity.
I've heard that you're supposed to be able to keep every copy of every pet on your account when the merge takes place, but as far as I can tell from the beta, that's not how it works. Currently you only get one copy of each learned pet, no matter how many of your characters have that pet. It's possible that isn't working as intended, but that's how it worked for me within the last couple of weeks.
i.see.what.i.did.there asked:
Why is there a floating cat's head lure in Uldum?
Someone's line broke, obviously.
