The first rule of Fight Club is you do not talk about fight club. Luckily, we're talking about the Brawler's Guild!
SO what are you guys thoughts on the Brawler's Guild being open to (initally I hope) the rich players of WoW.
For those who don't know the only way to access the Brawler's Guild is to purchase an entry from the BMAH or o be invited by a player who is already a member of the Brawler's Guild. This means that if you are not rich (in game currency) than you pretty much have no chance at the server first and if you don't have friends on top of not having gold, well than you are not gonna get access to this content.
To be honest, I really don't like the idea. I'm not concerned about server first stuff, I'm more concerned about basing content around the kindness of strangers. Your ability to access Brawler's Guild content relies on other people allowing you to do so. WoW's userbase, unfortunately, does not have a history of cooperation when it comes to that sort of thing.
That said, I don't think players' poor behavior can keep up long enough to keep this content completely locked down for long. Following various tweets from Blizzard community managers over the weekend, it sounds like there will be 10 Brawler's Guild invitations on the Black Market Auction House per day, and each person that joins the guild can invite 10 other people. I don't think entry to the Brawler's Guild will be difficult for as long as we think, but probably longer than Blizzard may intend.
I like the flavor of it -- a shady, underground invite-only society based around organized violence. It's cool. The flavor is fine. I'm still not a fan of selling content to the highest (in-game) bidder. There must be a better way.
When logging in this morning, the tip on the loading screen said: "Alleria and Turalyon have not been seen for years." Is this a sign of things to come in MoP? Have you seen any lore related clues to them finally escaping the Twisting Nether? What are your thoughts?
That loading tip has been there for awhile and it's largely a reaction to people asking where Alleria and Turalyon are at every given opportunity. Instead, people ask about that loading tip at every given opportunity! Chris Metzen has mentioned recently that we're going to see them in-game in a future expansion, though.
Do heroic dungeons seem to be a bit easier (even as a fresh 90) than doing them when leveling up? My guild and I have been feeling that way lately.
Strangely, yeah. Likely because they're meant to be be accessible to fresh 90s, and then with every piece of gear you acquire, they're just going to get easier. "Heroic" doesn't really mean "harder" anymore. It just means "this is level 90 content." Nowadays challenge modes are where you're supposed to go for ... well, a challenge.
When I look at my map, there are yellow-looking flight paths, and red flight paths. Some of the red ones I have discovered and can fly to. Why are they different colors?
Yellow flight paths are neutral and available to both factions. Red flight paths are Horde-only. If you were an Alliance player, you wouldn't see any red flight paths at all, you'd see yellow and blue instead.
