Why do people insist on calling it Pandaland?
If they're using it in a negative way, it's because playing as giant cows chasing dogs around is okay, but playing as pandas is just silly as childish.
If they're not using it in a negative way, then they're just using it as an expression without any ulterior motive.
anyone know if the warlock green fire is going to be a "toggle-able" ability?
We don't know. We actually don't know a ton about the quest yet either, so it's best to just sit back and hold tight until we do. There a lot of wild speculation going around about green fire, and while it can be fun, a lot of people are being silly and getting upset over speculation they feel is "right."
How come we go around killing the "Champions" scattered throughout the land? A lot of them are not hostile, and they seem to be minding their own business. Is this explained anywhere or am I safe to assume it's just for the fun of an achievement, gear, and vanity items?
Don't actually assume that they're not hostile, they could just be hiding their hostility and waiting until the right moment to pounce and mess you up. It's a vicious thing. They're mean, they're bad, and they need to be eliminated for the greater good of Azeroth.
Just switched my mage to fire. What's the best rotation?
I don't play a mage, so I can't answer authoritatively, but I can point you to two resources which should get you started on the path of figuring out which rotation works in your gear and play style:
Do you think that we are going to see any vanity items for Lv 90's that can be made from LW,BS,ect?
Unlikely. At this point in the game we're going to see some new crafting patterns for the next tier of raiding, but that's all. There won't be any major additions to vanity or fun things, unless Blizzard changes the way they've operated in the past. There's some logic to the way Blizzard operates here as well: why introduce some fun vanity crafting patterns now, when they can wait and use them as a talking point of the new expansion they'll announce at BlizzCon (assuming they will, I have no inside info, etc etc).
what more would you like to see in this expansion that we haven't seen yet?
I'm going to tackle this one in a larger editorial at some point, but in general I'd like to see more of a reason to go into random heroics with my main. Be it new instances that give gear that's a slight upgrade (especially hard fought items like trinkets), or just a more substantial reward when you don't need to run heroics anymore (maybe a mechanic that says if you're over iLevel 463 you get a shot at a rare mount or something like that). Either way, I want to dungeon run with my main again. And right now there's no realistic incentive to do so.
Are there raid encounters that favor utility vs raw dps?
Nope. There are plenty though that favor being a smart player and moving out of bad stuff, however. But none that push utility, I'm not really sure how that'd work either. Warlocks win the fight by creating a soul well?
As a warlock I'd love that.
