Today's Queue is not about opera. Rejoice.
Alex, I was reading your post on what the Alliance is missing. As a Horde player, it felt like our faction could use similar things like more familiar faces questing etc. How would you feel if the horde got the same treatment?
By same treatment, I assume you mean my suggestions, as opposed to the treatment the Alliance feels it has had so far. In that case, I have no problem with it and I may do a standalone post to that effect. My goal wasn't to encourage the developers to make the Alliance more fun than the Horde. My goal was to encourage to make the Alliance more fun period. If some of what I said resonated with the Horde as well, great -- all players want to benefit from a game that's more fun.
What I pointed out in that post, and what many seemed to miss, is that the Alliance doesn't necessarily need to stomp the crap out of the Horde and Alliance players don't necessarily want to be the "winner" in every battle. They just need their own stories for once. The Horde can continue to have their own stories, too. One faction doesn't need to lose something for the other to gain.
What do you think of an expansion where we go underground?
I'm not sure players would want to spend an entire expansion underground. Even if flight were enabled in massive, open caverns ... not having sunlight is depressing!
I thought I read on WoWInsider earlier this week that in Patch 5.3 they were unhooking Golden Lotus from Shado Pan and August Celestials. Problem is, I just went back a week on the site and couldn't find the article.
Did I imagine that? Or was it something that was planned but pulled?
It's in the patch notes update from April 15.
Good morning Queue-berts! I'm looking forward to Hearthstone beta, but haven't seen the answer to this question. When signing up for the beta I do that on my PC. So how do I indicate I also have an iPad an iPhone to help test?
Also, another question re: to the beta. I assume that my account needs to stay active to be eligible. I'm about to graduate with my two year degree (20+ years since high school go me!) I was considering a break from wow due to multiple reasons. (The main one being all my former friends in the game stopped playing.) So, can I take a break on renewing while continuing my focus on getting a new job and still be eligible for hearthstone beta.
As of right now, Blizzard has said they don't have an opt-in method specifically for the iPad yet. As for having an active WoW account, you don't need one. All that you need is a Battle.net account. People who only Diablo III attached to their account (which requires no subscription) can happily opt-in for the Hearthstone beta, for example.
