The Queue: Welcome to Night Vale

The Queue
Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Mike Sacco will be your host today.

If you pay any attention to the iTunes podcast charts, Welcome to Night Vale is probably already familiar to you, but if you've somehow missed it: you have to listen to this podcast. It's NPR meets the Twilight Zone. And it's funny as hell.

ZacharyBrandon asked:

In your opinion - what class has the best looking Tier gearsets? I've always been a little jealous of the Warlocks (being a Druid most of the time).

I think warriors tend to have the most consistently good sets, probably because they don't necessarily have a theme that needs to be played up in each set. They're very lucky.
almch3mist12 asked:

I honestly cannot wrap my head around why a person would level two characters of the same class. Can someone fill me in on what the point of it would be?

I don't really get it either. But people do it with Diablo characters, too. Sometimes people are just really into the experience of a certain class.

MasonSchultz asked:

Any comment on how long it's taking for the new character models? I know it's not a task that gets done in an afternoon, but it's been how long now..? The largest MMO in the world BY FAR can't toss out some new character models after 9 years?

Blizzard said that just the pandaren models took months. It's not surprising that Blizzard, the "when it's done" company, would take a while to release the updated player races.

dafino asked:

Do you think that Blizzard should take a page out of George R.R. Martin's playbook and kill off some key Warcraft characters? I mean for good...

I'm looking at you Varian Wrynn and Go'el, son of Durotan.

I'm not sure about that. We lost Magni Bronzebeard for basically no reason. Cairne died for story reasons, I guess, but Magni just seemed like a loss for loss' sake.

angerfork asked:

Why are there so many people on my server attempting to JP farm? Even on my lower geared toons, I can't see any good reason to do so...

They're probably trying to convert the JP to honor points or stockpiling JP for when the patch hits and switches around the currency required for current VP rewards.

mightbechris asked:

Why are all of the zones weirdly disconnected in a geological/tectonic sense? Nothing really flows together how a planet should develop (I'm looking at you, Azerothian mountains) and the divisions between them feel very artificial.

This is a good question, but the answer is actually really simple: it IS artificial. Azeroth wasn't created naturally; it was shaped by living, all-powerful beings. Makes sense it's got a touch of art to it.
