Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Mike Sacco will be your host today.
I met a corgi yesterday. This is me and that corgi, in a photo together. Thank you.
Anyone else hope they DON'T bring Flex scaling to Normal Modes? Or, why are lots of people intent on Blizz adding flex scaling to Normal Modes?
I think the benefits are pretty clear: you can still raid if you're down a few (or a lot) of your regular stable of players. There's pretty much no downside to flex being available in normal mode. I think there's some weird line of thinking that says "well if they add this tech that was originally implemented in a slightly easier mode to my preferred mode, that means I'm playing on easy mode" people are going through right now.
How awesome would it be if, as part of their roll out of new models and customization options, Blizzard gave new Forsaken characters the ability to be an undead version of the other races? We all know Sylvanas is going to start doing it...if she hasn't already. Undead Forsaken models of Tauren, Draenai, Trolls, etc. would be friggin sweet!
I believe, and people can correct me if I'm wrong on this, that Sylvanas can't actually raise anyone except humans. The val'kyrs' power only works on humans, and so does the plague.
What is gonna happen with Orgrimmar? It will still be playable as Horde city or not?
Yes. The Siege raid won't blow up the city or anything. Everything will be more or less copacetic.
Do we know if Flex is going to have an ilvl gate and if so do we know what it is?
Flex has no ilvl gate, though obviously you'll still need pretty decently-geared raid members to have a successful run.
Recently returned to the fold for a change of pace after a good few months of GW2 and decided to start up a new Death Knight.
Boy have they changed since WotLK!
Combat feels painfully slow (still in Outland, about Lv67) compared to what I was used to - please tell me it gets better vis-a-vis Runes.
Daniel Whitcomb actually wrote an article about this recently, but yes, death knight rune regeneration is absolutely intolerable until level 75. Those talents need to come much, much earlier. If I was playing a DK at your level I probably would have stopped already.
So, what is the Blizzcon pet? I was expecting an Hearthstone themed Murloc. I don't see any murlocs in the 5.4 files. I suppose there is still time to add it in.
We don't have any indication what the BlizzCon digital prize thingy will be, but we do know there's some sort of Hearthstone-related mount called the Hearthsteed. It's ... well, it's certainly a mount.
