The Queue Curse of the Corgen
Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Mike Sacco will be your host today.

This isn't quite what I was expecting to find in yesterday's Queue comments, but hey, our community is full of surprises. *Sniffs loudly and annoyingly*

ChadWShreeves asked:

I had a thought as I was leveling through Zul'Drak on my monk last night. I noticed that the whole Gun'drak area at the top of the map where the exterior looks a little big to be just for a single instance. It actually seemed to me almost like the original plan was for two smaller instances (Side buildings) and a raid at the top (large building) Was this originally a plan? Did it get scrapped for something else? I didn't start following blue posts and the like till mid-Ulduar so I don't know about what early Wrath plans could have been.

Wrath has several places where dungeon content was originally planned and then scrapped. Utgarde was supposed to have a raid, and Gundrak as well. Heck, there are even item models that were named thinking they'd be part of those raids. Me, I just wanted to see what the heck that giant snake in Gundrak was all about. Also, where the heck was Frost King Malakk during Wrath!
thebl4ckd0g asked:

So are Sylvanas' Dark Rangers living or forsaken blood elves/high elves?

Commenter cambrowarrior answered this pretty well. Take it away, Cambro!

I think they were converted to banshees like Sylvanas was by Arthas, or she converted them while under his power, but they're definitely undead. After she broke free and recovered her body, she was able to do the same for them (her former subordinates in life) as I recall.

Nocjin asked:

Has anyone EVER got a blue drop from a rare mob their class could actually use? I must have killed dozens now and it feels like blizzard are just trolling me with them being BoP.

I never have, but it's almost certainly just bad luck. After all, RNG is RNG.

TaraDawes asked:

Sorry if this has been asked (and answered) before, but will there be a new currency replacing the Mogu Runes of Fate for the new raid?

Yep, definitely. Warforged Seals are used in Siege of Orgrimmar.

RaynStormm asked:

From Wowpedia: "Though Therazane has no love for mortals, she recognizes the role that these races might play in restoring Deepholm..."

Why did Therazane care whether Deepholm collapsed? It's pretty clear from some of the quests in Deepholm that the elementals can travel and live in solid stone. It would seem as if allowing the plane to collapse would ensure no orcs, humans, etc. would come to Deepholm, because well... humans and orcs can't move through stone.

It was less about the roof caving in and more about Azeroth collapsing in Deepholm; that is, the two planes colliding, and violently. Neither were likely to have survived the collision.
