It can be hard to pick the right class in World of Warcraft, especially when you're just getting started and don't know much about the game's mechanics. But while some players seem to pick the right class straight off, some of us struggle to find the perfect fit. For my part, I'm fairly sure that my very first character was a mage, which I played up to level 20 or so before deciding mages were too fragile for my taste and trying a warlock instead. I stuck with warlock through vanilla-era raids, but when I rolled a holy priest alt for a change of pace it eventually became my new main. Then when priests started to feel too fragile, I swapped over to holy paladin instead. And when Mists came around, I started playing a monk. So as you can see, there's never been just one class for me -- and I bet most of you old-time players have your own stories of class-swapping.
So tell me, readers: how did you decide on your class of choice? Was it love at first sight or did it take some trial and error to find your ideal gaming niche?
