WoW Insider has the latest on the Mists of Pandaria!

The Queue: I hate that kid

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Anne Stickney (@Shadesogrey) is a fan of the Pikachu.

It took me a while to get into Game of Thrones -- I'd tried reading the novels several years ago but they never hit quite the right note with me. The television show is amazing, however. And seeing BadLipReading turn GoT into one of those really dumb teen movies that is essentially a paper-thin excuse for a plot wrapped with implausible situations and fart jokes? Yeah, that was kind of priceless.

MandaPanda asked:

Can you use the picture of Tyrion from GoT as the Queue's heading picture again? Just seeing that funny expression made my day a little brighter.

This isn't quite that. But maybe it will do.

rjcmt asked:

Q4tQ: I'm slowly working my way through "WoW Insider's chronological guide to Warcraft novels, manga, comics, and short stories" - thank you for assembling this resource! It's very handy, since I'm trying to read things "in order". My question is this: there is a faction short story on the Blizz site that isn't listed in the guide (yet) - The Strength of Steel by Raphael Ahad. Would it fall after Vol'jin: Shadows of the Horde, or somewhere else in the list?

I answered this in the comments, but I'm going to answer it here, too -- the story begins at the beginning of the Mists expansion, and takes place throughout its timeline. Just so everyone is aware, it has been added to the chronological timeline. Also, for those that have asked about or reported errors in links on our Lore Guide page, those have all been corrected too! I'm currently working on updating it, as its woefully out of date -- be patient on that one, because oh man is there ever a lot of links.

hstein asked:

Where do I use the hourglass quest item inside of Siege of Orgrimmar? Everytime I try to use it (in LFR, mind), I get an error message. The quest just says to use it in the raid, without any indication as to where. Follow-up question: Since there are a number of scenes revealed by this quest week-to-week, has anyone compiled a collection of all the scenes so far, written or otherwise?

Good question! If you'd like to use the hourglass in LFR, you need to clear that wing of LFR first. But you can use it in Normal mode much more easily -- simply group with a friend, create a raid, walk into the instance and use it at the beginning. As for your second question, Adriacraft over on Youtube has all of the visions as videos you can watch. Please note, Adriacraft has lots and lots of spoilers, so don't click that link if you're avoiding them.

peeberlicious asked:

whats a good xmog for enhancement shaman? i can't find one i really like. i cant stand skirts!

Someone mentioned it already, but the tier 5 Cataclysm Raiment is amazing. Pair it with a Fist and Claw of Molten Fury. No kilt on that set!

Matthew2 asked:

An awesome question by MusedMoose was handled uncreatviely into today's queue. Can we get a more creative answer with the spirit (not the words) of the question? "What do you think would be the biggest curveball Blizzard could throw at us for the next expansion? There are a ton of dangling plots Blizzard could pick up (Azshara, Argus, Burning Legion, Old Gods, Titans, long-lost lore figures, I could go on), but what could they do that no one would expect?"

You know what? Ordinarily I would say no, but I'm feeling creative here at the midnight hour, so okay, I'll play ball, just this once. Biggest curveball? We get that rain of fire that Wrathion was predicting and showing to us at the beginning of the legendary quest chain, that thing that he was so terrified would come to pass. But it's not the Burning Legion.

It's the Titans popping by for a visit.

Why? Because we just killed Y'shaarj. We didn't just kill him, we killed every last vestige of him -- we wiped out the sha, we wiped out the remnants that even they couldn't destroy. The Aspects, imbued by the powers of the Titans, watched us rise to the Age of Mortals. Pandaria was a testing ground -- it was deliberately preserved, held in stasis by Shaohao in order to wait for the opportune moment, that moment in which the Aspects decreed we were ready. And when we defeated Deathwing, we started the clock ticking. By defeating the sha and ridding Azeroth completely of an Old God, we've proven ourselves worthy.

And that's when the Titans tell us that Azeroth itself was created as an experiment to engineer weapons worthy of clearing out the damage the Legion has already wreaked on other worlds. Boom, interplanetary travel to one of a million million different worlds, one which has been razed from the ground up by the Legion, and we get to clean it up. That world? Oh, that's the one that Alleria and Turalyon popped over to, and they've been waiting for us to arrive.

JamesPemberton asked:

What's the name of that bug again that freaked Anne out during one of the podcasts?

It was a Jerusalem Cricket. And it is the ugliest, most terrifying creature you never want to see walking across your carpet, bare inches from your foot.

@Ironforged asked via Twitter:

With the Paragons aligning against us in SoO, does that indicate all the Klaxxi have, or just the paragons?

I think, while it's not clearly defined, we can safely assume it's all of the Klaxxi. They flat-out tell you as much when you reach exalted with them: Kil'ruk takes you underground, explains the history of the Klaxxi, and tells you that the Klaxxi are and always have been servants of the Old Gods. And he explicitly informs you that if it comes down to a choice between allying with you, or returning to the side of the Old Gods, they'll pick the Old Gods. It's not even a choice. Kil'ruk adds that if you're smart, you'll choose the same, and the story is left at that. To me, that's a pretty clear indicator that the Klaxxi have all thrown in with Hellscream -- or rather, the heart of their God is currently in Hellscream's possession, and it seems to be kicking around and whispering. Where their God goes, they go.

@AlternativeChat asked via Twitter:

What one item of armour would you like to see being offered in the next Expansion as a legitimate mogging item (e.g., top hat)

I don't know if this counts, because it might be considered cheating -- but I'd like to see a set of shoulders that are invisible, effectively allowing us to run around without shoulder models if we wish to. Alternatively, I'd like to see more of those one-shoulder models of spaulders. I really like that look.

@jordan77890 asked:

Who would be good representatives for each class hero in Hearthstone besides the current characters?

I'd actually like to see more variety in the choice of heroes. Let's see here:
  • Mage: Rhonin, Antonidas, Aegwynn, Medivh, Rommath, Aethas
  • Hunter: Nathanos Blightcaller, Halduron Brightwing, Alleria Windrunner, Shandris Feathermoon, Hemet Nessingwary
  • Warrior: Anduin Lothar, Gelbin Mekkatorque, Varian Wrynn, Baine, Broxigar, Saurfang
  • Shaman: Muln Earthfury, Nobundo, Drek'Thar, Stormcaller Mylra (I'd love to see her again), Rehgar Earthfury
  • Druid: Hamuul Runetotem, Zen'Tabra, Broll Bearmantle, Fandral Staghelm
  • Priest: Velen, Tyrande, High Priest Rohan
  • Rogue: Garona, Mathias Shaw, Vanessa VanCleef
  • Paladin: Turalyon, Lady Liadrin, Sunwalker Dezco, Tirion Fordring, Bolvar
  • Warlock: Meryl Firestorm, Cho'gall, the four members of the Council of the Black Harvest -- Kanrethad, Ritssyn, Shinfel and Zinnin.
I bet there's lots more. I bet the comments will be full of suggestions!
