So what uber thing does it take to make the Sha of Happiness happy? This week, we have a special Random Acts of -- well, maybe not Uberness but more like Happiness from the Sha of Happiness herself (shown above with her snarling buddy Angryorc).

Caught being uber: Elderly couple met at BlizzCon Unfortunately, I don't have the name of the couple, but they were elderly. The lady started playing Warcraft due to her daughter asking her time and time again to play, then the daughter bought and set her up with an account. She met this man in game, and they quickly fell in love. BlizzCon was their honeymoon and for them to recognize me as someone that's a "pillar of the community" was humbling. We compared LFR battle stories and it was so interesting hearing their take on things. It is humbling and honouring that they asked lil' ol' me for a hug. -- Sha of Happiness

Caught being uber: Ready Check podcast I just want to say thankyou to the Ready Check podcast team for organising the Barcraft event in London over BlizzCon weekend, entirely free of charge. The place was packed out! My friends came over from Sweden, and we had a great time chatting to other Warcraft players and watching the live Blizz stream. You made the night awesome, guys. Caught being uber: Updated, Stormrage (US) Hello Lisa, my name is Animaneth, a mage from US-Stormrage, but I wanted to share something that happened while I was leveling my priest, Sopeti a couple of weeks ago. And I wanted to tell you about Updated from US-Stormrage (or Derp US-Stormrage, with a funky D that I can't type in this keyboard).

Derp is a lvl 80 DK, twinked. Got in a LFD while I was on my little priest leveling -- suddenly I see that in the meters the DK was pulling 32k DPS ... at level 80, single target. So I inspected and saw that he had a lot of twink gear. We started to talk, and the guy told us that he got tired of progression raiding and decided to make a twink to have some fun. He is now the leader of a WotLK-only raiding guild, when the dungeon finished, he asked for us to stay in the group, and re-queue us.

We run 3 or 4 dungeons in chain, after that everyone had to go and left the group, but he gave us his RealID to contact him later. Next time I log and he was online, he proceeded to invite me to a group and queue as a tank, chaining another several instances. The pattern repeated a couple of times.

After the I got out of the Throne of the Tides and Blackrock Caverns, his DK couldn't do instances with me anymore, so he started to log his mage (Updated) and run several of that old TotT group thru the low-level MoP instances. We queued all as DPS (since we had no tank and he couldn't select it :P), but then during the dungeon he would tell the tank not to worry, he could do it in case it was needed. And encouraged me to go heals (something I didn't want to do given how awful tanks and healers are treated in LFD).

So I want to thank this former elite raider for his attitude towards someone learning (to heal) and leveling. It's nice to see non-elitist people in the community from time to time hehehe. See you around. -- Animaneth, Stormrage (US-Alliance)

Caught being uber: Volde, Borean Tundra (US-Horde) I want to tell you about a guildie who is going above and beyond to help out another guild on Borean Tundra. Volde is one of those folks who will do anything to help out a guildie. He often spends his time filling up our guild bank, helping folks complete quests, giving great hunter advice and making us all laugh.

He recently learned that another guild on our server had been hacked and their guild bank was ransacked. He decided to spend a day farming mats to put them back on their feet. As he put it, "Time to give back to a community thats given me so much over the years." So, I'd like to nominate Volde of Fates Call for a Random Act of Uberness. -- Volde's Guildie

Caught being uber: Choceh and Ethorne, Argent Dawn (EU-Alliance) I recently created a draenei warrior in all the excitement of WoD's announcement. When using the dungeon finder to do Scarlet Halls, I bumped into two players, Choceh and Ethorne.

After one dungeon we got chatting and ended up farming dungeons from 30-40. We then noticed we were all from Argent Dawn, so we decided to quest together.

We have since made a pact to level together as much as possible. Such a random encounter with friendly and fun players certainly was an uber experience. -- Draklus, Argent Dawn (EU-Alliance)

Caught being uber: Blizzard GM on Bleeding Hollow (US) On Wednesday evening, I got out of raid at 11 and hopped off, only to wake up to an email saying my WoW expired due to a mix-up with my two credit cards, I wouldn't of been able to pay until Friday, and my guild needed me tonight! We're down a hunter due to newborn aggro, I could not be absent!

So, I opened a ticket, and a fantastic GM gave me two days of gametime, all I had to do was include a picture of my dog. Thanks, GM (withholding his name for obvious reasons, he has to be a professional). -- Trair, Bleeding Hollow (US-Alliance)
