The Queue: Features, deletions, achievements, and Skittles

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Alex Ziebart will be your host today.

Today's Queue kicks off with a question all of you might enjoy answering, too. While you're answering that, listen to William Close play his earth harp.

Joe32 asked:

What's your favorite expansion in terms of added features, not game play? For example, WoTLK - dungeon finder, dual spec; Cata - transmog, reforging, LFR; MoP - flex, scenarios. I probably got a few of those wrong but you get the idea.

I know there's a vocal group that really hates the dungeon finder, but I personally love it. While I miss the old days of stomping difficult heroics with the same stable 5-man group day in and day out, those people aren't around anymore, and weren't around anymore by the time the dungeon finder appeared. The featured showed up at a time where my friends in World of Warcraft were purely social. We had different playstyles and didn't always jive together super well actual gameplay. The dungeon finder meant I could still be friends/guilded with those people and find groups easily.

The dungeon finder also laid the groundwork for random scenarios and the raid finder, both of which were great additions.

JordanPhillips asked:

will we ever see transmog restrictions lifted further? Perhaps transmog legendaries?

I can give you a definitive "maybe."

HerrKlokbok asked:

I'm planning to delete my oldest character, a paladin, and reboot her a a priest. I DO have the Feat of Strength for the Charger though. So the question is will Feats of Strength be retained even if the character that earned it is deleted?

Don't delete your paladin! You'll regret it forever! Unless you really hate that paladin, in which case, you won't regret it at all. Feats of Strength do not go away. Even if you delete that paladin, you'll keep your achievement.

@Kenichan asked:

Green or purple Skittles?

Neither. I don't like Skittles. Probably one of my least favorite mass-produced candies, in fact! I hate their grainy, sticky chew.

TrollingAzeroth asked:

Question from a n00b going for Wrathion's cloak. Once we hit the 3k valor, is it considered "spent" to move on to the next part of the chain? Or do we get to keep it and spend it?

You can keep and spend that valor. The quest isn't tracking how many valor points you currently possess, but how many you have earned since staring the quest. I'm not using real numbers here, but for the sake of an example, let's say you had 20 valor points when you start Wrathion's quest. Though you have 20 valor, his counter is at 0. You earn 100 more points, putting you at 120 total, but your quest is at 100. If you spend that 120, you possess 0 valor, but your quest is still at 100.

Hopefully that made sense and isn't just a garbled word-and-number salad.
