WoW Insider has the latest on the Mists of Pandaria!

The Queue: Squeakity squeak squeaken

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Anne Stickney (@Shadesogrey) wants to be a Junior Chipmunk.

If for some reason you've been living under a rock and you've never seen The Emperor's New Groove, you should probably fix that situation. Fun fact: It was originally going to be a film called Kingdom of the Sun, with lots of songs, a different cast of characters, a very different story, and a love interest for the llama. I think we got the better version.

JordanPhillips asked:

Q4tQ: how much of the Arakkoa will we see in WoD? Will we get to see them at the apex of their civilization?

According to news at BlizzCon, there is an entire zone on Draenor that is pretty much arrakoa central. I suspect we'll be seeing quite a lot of them. I'm hoping maybe we'll get to dig up arrakoa artifacts for Archaeology, too.

Ron2 asked:

I was in Icecrown Citadel yesterday, and when I went into the section wth the San'layn they spoke as if I should know who they are. I'd seen the princes as instance bosses, but I don't recall anybody saying they were Scourge. Do the San'layn have any story development outside of ICC?

Two of the princes have extensive storylines outside of ICC. Prince Valanar is involved in a series of quests in the Borean Tundra that involve Naxxanar, the citadel he's been left in charge of. Prince Keleseth is involved in a storyline that takes place in Howling Fjord -- Horde players see a scene play out with him while questing in Vengeance Landing. In addition to that, all three princes are present and accounted for in a Grizzly Hills quest. The quest Out of Body Experience shows you a vision that reveals exactly how the worgen got to Grizzly Hills in the first place.

Snichy76 asked:

This may be a pretty obvious answer to some (or already answered, or not answered at all yet) but ill ask anyway: how do we get to Draenor (WoD) in 6.0. Is it through the Dark Portal in Blasted Lands? If so, how do levelling players get to Outland? Will the portal change automatically based on level or will phasing be introduced in that area?

We'll be going through the Dark Portal in the Blasted Lands -- it's going to change from green to red. As far as how players will get to Outland at level 60, that hasn't been decided yet. It might be phasing, it might be relocated to the Caverns of Time, but we don't know. We'll just have to wait and see!

KristenStevens asked:

Question for the Queue and the awesome reader community: should I feel roped into installing Recount or Skada?

First you have to answer a couple of questions -- are you in a serious raiding guild? Are you looking to top the charts? If the answer to either of those is no, then don't bother. Recount and Skada are for monitoring your DPS output, but if you're not in a situation where your DPS needs to be optimal, like with high-end progression raiding, then you really don't have to worry about it. Heck, I'm in a 25-man raid guild currently doing heroic encounters, and I don't bother with Recount or Skada. We have someone that takes logs during raid nights, and I'll look at those logs to check my output, but I don't really concern myself with being number one on the meters.

If you're wondering where your DPS is currently at, you can always install one of them and try it out on a training dummy to see where your numbers are at. That won't lag you like being in a raid, and you'll get a good idea of where you stand and whether you need to tweak your rotation at all.

zengarzombolt11 asked:

Q for the Q pure speculation question, when do you think Blizzard decides what is the next expansion?

Story wise? Fairly early on -- right now I'm sure they've already got a pretty good idea of what the next expansion after Warlords is going to be as far as story goes. Production wise, I don't think they start actually working on that expansion until the current one is either complete or nearly complete. The thing with making an MMO like WoW is that the story is always ongoing -- so when you create a new expansion, you're not just considering what's going to be in that expansion, but where the events of that expansion will take you next. It's an ongoing process.

JediExcel asked:

Question for lore on trolls. I'm rolling a troll mage, and I want him from the Eastern Kingdoms continent near the belfs. Since I understand the Darkspear came from Kalimdor, I was wondering what tribes might be appropriate.

The trolls in northern Eastern Kingdoms are all remnants of the Amani Empire -- forest trolls. The trolls you find in blood elf territory are all from the Amani Tribe. If you move further south, you'll find the Mossflayer Tribe in the Eastern Plaguelands, and further south in the Hinterlands you'll find the Vilebranch, Witherbark, and Revantusk. All of those tribes are hostile to both Horde and Alliance -- especially the Amani Tribe in Quel'thalas, with one exception. While the Revantusk Tribe in the Hinterlands hasn't officially joined the Horde, they are friendly supporters, and even offer a multitude of quests to Horde players.

My warrior's 90% into level 89 and I just. Can't. Do. Any. More. Quests. In. Townlong. Blehhhhhh...*gurgle* *flail* *die* I don't like Dread Wastes either, I'm contemplating backtracking into Kun Lai and finishing up there. I only need like eight more quests and all I wanna do when I log in is chuck my keyboard out the frigging window. Pandaland is so slow. *twitch*

If you haven't done it yet, go look for the treasure items scattered all over Pandaria. Each item gives you a gigantic whopping ton of XP at level 89.
