I can't breathe, guys. Seriously, stop taunting me, Celestalon! Just dump all the info straight into my braaaaaaain.
So, we now have a video with spoilers in it from the Korean event. The small bar in the toon select screen said Beta in it. Is blizzard performing the beta in a new fashion and does that also mean they are further ahead then what they let on?
Naah, it's just PR events. It's a beta build of the game, but they're not conducting the beta by press junket. They're just letting folks take a look at what they have.
Q4tQ: So now that we will soon be able to purchase a level 90 character for a set amount of money, do you think Blizzard will ever open the ability for us to get those EXP boost potions they are selling to asian markets (or something similar) for those who don't want to pay for a full boost but still like to get through some of the levels at a quicker pace?
If not, you can always farm some up in game right now. And that won't cost you any real money at all, just time.
It's possible they'll do something like that - I haven't heard of them making any plans to do so, but you should never say never to anything.
Do you think the updated blood elf models will retain their glowing eyes?
Seems likely. The green glowing eyes are a big part of what separates blood elves from high elves (with their blue glowing eyes) and the character designs so far seem to be trying very, very hard to keep aspects like that while updating the look.
Q4tQ: a friend of mine has created a new guild and has recruited a handful (say roughly 10) former raid mates to have a go at Siege. We scattered after finishing Dragon Soul Heroic and we'd like to start all over again. The question is, what do you think is the fastest way to level the guild?, what do you suggest we do considering questing is already done for Mists, and we still have some gearing up to do Siege by ourselves?
JeffLabowski's answer is the one I would have given you - have everyone roll a level 1 and get it to level 20. You won't believe how fast you'll get guild levels from that. Aside from that, all the stuff others mentioned - daily and weekly quests, weekly dungeon and raid challenges completed, basically just get out into the world and do stuff. When I was in a Horde guild whose GM pulled a giant hissy fit and we had to rebuild, we went from 1 to 25 in a couple of weeks with everyone just doing as many quests as possible on alts, running lots of dungeons to gear said alts up, etc etc.
Is there any "official" guide to LFR?
I ask because we are at the point where "expert" players have pretty much left LFR, unless they are running an alt. Those left have some experience, though i still feel like 10% of the people i see in LFR have never been in that particular raid before.
There are plenty of sources for Raid strategies, but I know of none (other than the "Bosses in 5 seconds" thingies here) that address LFR specifically. The lst couple of weeks has seen many of my LFR groups degrade into arguing about how far the markers are apart or which side to DPS Thok on or etc etc etc.
Aside from the excellent Bosses in 5 seconds guides you mentioned already, I think most people assume that LFR is easy enough that you don't need more than the dungeon journal. In general, I think it would be if people didn't get weird ideas in their heads and then argue up a storm about them. C'est la vie. In general, any decent raid guide should work for LFR, as long as people don't get on their 'this is just LFR we don't have to try to avoid damage' hobby horse and use it to ride the group into the ground.
Tauren may be underplayed, but did you hear that ROAR that went through the crowd when they showed glimpses of the male Tauren? :D
It was very heartening to me, as I love tauren the most of any Horde races (and man, it's hard to say I like draenei more... It's like draenei and tauren are in a photo finish really) and I'll always love my tauren warriors.
I really, really liked what I saw of tauren models at BlizzCon and I hope they do them proud. They're awesome.
That's the Queue for today, folks. Imagine I'm doing a Scottish accent.
