WoW Insider has the latest on the Mists of Pandaria!

The Queue: Fireworks

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Anne Stickney (@Shadesogrey) is answering all kinds of questions today.

Some guy flew a drone with a camera attached into a fireworks display. The results are really, really cool and very pretty and sparkly. Thankfully, neither drone nor camera were damaged. I hope everyone enjoyed fireworks and food or just the fact that it was Friday yesterday. Let's get on with the questions!

convoyb asked:

So why is there such an obsession with Corgis anyway? I never really understood it.

I believe it started with a windup corgi showing up under the Greench's tree one Winter Veil. We only have one proper "dog" model Battle Pet, and that's the Perky Pug. Corgis are cute, and it's another dog model! I think that's pretty much the extent of it.

JedidiahRiley asked:

Q4tQ: I know someone asked about Taran Zhu, but what about the faction reps Pandaren came off of the Isle with? I feel like there was a lot of potential for Aysa and Ji and the next I really saw of them was when Aysa is bucking ahead of our raid to rescue him, violating what Varian said back when we first arrived in Stormwind. Are they done as characters or do they show up in WoD?

We haven't seen either of them so far. Mind you, we've only had two zones opened to play in, so maybe we'll see them at some point in the future. But I'd like to think that after the rigors of war between Alliance and Horde, and all the stuff that went down in the Siege of Orgrimmar, the two are quietly recuperating and sitting this particular adventure out.

john.h.fee asked:

So since this is a separate timeline, the legion we're facing is a completely different legion from the legion we're at war with back home, right? But now they're going to know we exist. So by the end of this expansion we're going to be at war with TWO burning legions, right?

The Burning Legion is kind of a multi-dimensional entity. They exist and operate out of the Twisting Nether, which pretty much overlaps everything. It's a separate dimension that opens up ... well, everywhere. At least it does according to Prince Malchezaar in Karazhan, who says "All realities, all dimensions are open to me!" That kind of suggests the Legion is pretty much capable of going anywhere in existence.

jackesteve asked:

Q4TQ: was thinking about this last night, was there a lore reason pertinent to the BC storyline as to why we went back in time to the Battle of Mt.Hyjal? I don't recall any Infinite dragons being present as there were in other CoT instances or expansion related plot points.

Not really, no. The Infinite dragonflight hadn't really made a play in Hyjal, we were just there to experience history and make sure things took place properly. Personally, I like to think this was the Bronze dragonflight's subtle way of reminding the Alliance and Horde that they worked together to prevail over the Legion at one point in time with amazingly successful results, as a subtle prompt to get both factions to later work together with the Shattered Sun. Now I know you'll say Hyjal was open before Black Temple and long before the Sunwell, but we're also talking about Bronze dragons that can track and see through time, so ... maybe they had an inkling of what was coming up. Who knows? Dragons are weird, bronze dragons doubly so.

arahir asked:

Q4TQ: Do you think we'll ever lose an expansion? I mean, we've never fallen to the big bad in a way that had immediate repercussions (at least, not that I can recall). I'd kind of like to see that.

While I agree it would certainly be entertaining from a story perspective, I don't know how satisfying it would be to those that took the time to play through the entire expansion. In a way, we kind of lost in Mists of Pandaria -- Garrosh escaped, after all. But on the other hand, we did get the Vale on the way to being restored, and Hellscream was ousted. He just got away, is all.

saruya asked:

My first ever QFTQ: Any sign, word or knowledge of Garrosh so far in the beta? What happened to him? He's been there 35 years, so it'd be interesting to see what his fate was....

He has been seen. Very, very briefly, just in the background. Nothing major.

Eliza asked:

So there's Vindicator Maraad, Exarch Maladaar, and Yrel. Why doesn't she have a title? Do only male draenei get titles?

When you first run into her, no, she has no title.
She's just a student, after all! I have a feeling before the expansion's end she'll be running around with some sort of title or another, though. Yrel's cool, I like her a lot already, and her story has just begun.
