The Queue: Bother

The worst part about the Warlords of Draenor pre-event for the Alliance? The second Horde hub is directly between the second Alliance hub and the ogre camp. Try to take a direct path to the ogre camp? You're dead. Dead.
JeffLaBowski asked:
Do you think we will get a gametime credit for extended maintenance? I haven't checked to see if we got any credits lately.
Blizzard typically only gives credit when a game has been down for nearly a full day or more. Extending standard maintenance by a few hours wouldn't justify giving playtime credits in their mind -- maybe even seen as more effort than it's worth. Credit also given more often when servers are down for extended periods unrelated to standard maintenance -- for example, crashing for an entire Friday night. Australia's servers being down for a full 24-hours should probably grant them a free day of play, even if they're getting shiny new servers out of it.
OlGreenBeard asked:
I've just pre-ordered WoD. I'm not sure what class I'd like to boost to 90 right now, and was wondering if that boost will still be available post-launch of the x-pac, or whether I need to use it beforehand.
The boost will stick around until you decide to use it. Blizzard may announce some sort of expiration date on it in the future, but they haven't so far, nor do I see a reason why they would.
Eliza asked:
Do you use many cooldowns (3 minutes or more) during general solo play? I find I'm very bad about utilizing even those relatively short CDs if I'm just out questing or even running old raids. They're on my bars, front-and-center where I can see them, and I just don't remember to hit the buttons. A few of the shortest ones I've simply macroed onto other abilities (like Bestial Wrath on my hunter, and that 30-sec berserk thing on my warrior) so I'll use them constantly. Otherwise they may as well not even exist.
I'm far too lazy to hit those buttons while doing standard solo activities, even if I remember them. I'll hit them if I'm fighting an elite or something like that, but otherwise ... nah.
Digsu asked:
Have people started beating Algalon up in droves since the patch dropped? Seems like I can't step foot in Dalaran these days without hearing Rhonin's little victory speech.
Yep. It's much easier to kill him now and can generally be done solo. That means there are droves of people with nothing better to do before the expansion launches killing him and turning in the quest. Rhonin gives his speech a few hundred times per day now. I imagine that will drop off significantly when Warlords hits.
Minstrel asked:
Is it possible that all of this Warlords of Draenor stuff is misdirection and the expansion dropping in a couple of weeks will be The Dark Below? After all, there was that trademark application.
I'm pretty sure this question is a joke. If it isn't ... no.
Daemar1 asked:
Hearthstones. They take us between worlds but how? Probably game mechanic but if you had to theorise a lore explanation?
They're mass-produced runestones enchanted with just enough magical power to produce a simple teleport spell. It is only complex enough to be bound to a single location and can only sustain low levels of latent magical power that takes time to recharge after use. They're the poor man's version of a mage's teleport and portal spells.
