Which is better? Upgrade garrison to level 3 or upgrade some buildings to level 2?




I honestly don't think it matters much. I upgraded the garrison to level 3 right away so I could have the extra plots of land to build things on, and frankly I wanted the epic castle feel to log into each day. I'm really glad that I did.

The garrison provides fun benefits, but none of it really feels mandatory to the core game. Now there's certainly things you want in there, like the Salvage Yard and the Lumber Mill, but even then, it's not necessary to the core missions of Warlords.

I gather what I'm saying is do what you want -- you can't really go wrong.

do people raid on the weekends. Saturday and Sunday nights? Seems everyone raids Wednesday and Thursday's. When ever people suggest weekend raiding they claim they have a life. Surely I can't be the only one who is busy during the week and generally free for raids on the weekends.

There are raiding guilds of that type out there -- they're just kind of hard to come by. I think most guilds I've been a part of have all had a weekend raiding group of alts and non-core raiders. The weekend raiding might just not be advertised on the forum posts, etc... but if you research and ask around, I'm sure that you'll find some good ones.

I really want to say that the current cooldowns feel right, but they don't. I think they could, realistically, be about half of what they are now, and offer somewhat reduced yield. Blizzard clearly doesn't want to make upgrading and changing your garrison around a trivial thing, but at the same time I don't think I should have to wait three to five days to get enough resources to upgrade a building to rank two or three.

I also think this feeds into the issues with professions right now, where the key crafting mats are too slow to be made. I'm an engineer, and it's going to take me two weeks to just make enough damn widgets to get my goggles. As a somewhat casual player that's fine, but if I was raiding, it'd be pointless.

I realize this is just some QQ, but I do think the cooldowns overall could be fine tuned a bit.
