Warlords of Draenor Garrison Level 3 Blueprint guide

Building your garrison in Warlords of Draenor is pretty easy -- once you're out of Tanaan Jungle, it's only a short matter of time and a short series of quests before you've got one set up. Questing through Draenor will give you the first few blueprints you need for buildings, and once you've worked your way up to a level 2 garrison, you'll get free access to all the level one blueprints you need. Level 2 blueprints can be purchased from a vendor once you've reached the appropriate level or completed the appropriate quests -- and you even get a few free buildings out of the bargain from trading in Outpost Notes on Ashran.

Once you reach level 100, you can upgrade your garrison to level three -- and that's where the real work begins. Unlike all the other blueprints in the game, level 3 blueprints for buildings aren't immediately available. Instead, they're locked behind a series of achievements that must be completed before you can purchase them and finish filling out your fortress. While some of these blueprints are fairly self-explanatory, some are a little harder to find -- so we've put together a guide that should help you track down every blueprint your heart desires.

Small Buildings

Profession Buildings For all level three profession buildings, you've only got one achievement to complete -- Working More Orders. To accomplish this, just complete 250 Work Orders in your garrison. Although this achievement is not tallied account-wide, once you have unlocked the level 3 blueprints, they will be unlocked for all characters on your account, so you only have to do this achievement once.

Storehouse To unlock the level 3 blueprints for the Storehouse, you must complete Got My Mind On My Draenor Money, which requires you to loot 10,000 gold in Draenor.

Salvage Yard To unlock the level 3 blueprints for the Salvage Yard, you must complete Salvaging Pays Off -- open 100 pieces of Salvage from missions, and the blueprints are yours.

Medium Buildings

Inn/Tavern To unlock the level 3 blueprints for these buildings, you'll need to do the achievement Stay Awhile and Listen, which requires you to complete a selection of daily quests from travelers that visit the inn. The travelers will appear randomly every day, and their quests will take you to the dungeons of Draenor -- a few may be completed on normal difficulty, but most quests require running a dungeon on heroic.

Lumber Mill To unlock the level 3 blueprints for the Lumber Mill, you'll need to complete Upgrading the Mill -- an achievement that requires you to place 75 work orders at the Lumber Mill, as well as complete two unique quest chains. Level 3 of the Lumber Mill allows you to mark Large Trees for lumber, and also unlocks the rare follower Phylarch the Evergreen, who can be assigned to work at the Lumber Mill.

Barn To unlock the level 3 blueprints for the Barn, you'll need to complete the Master Trapper achievement, which requires you to place 125 Work Orders at the Barn. Once unlocked, you'll be able to obtain Savage Blood from elite creatures, an item that's needed for several high end profession recipes.

Gladiator's Sanctum To unlock the level 3 blueprints for the Gladiator's Sanctum, you'll need to complete The Bone Collector. This achievement requires you to collect 4000 Broken Bones from enemy players -- enemy players typically drop 3-6 bones apiece. Note that only kills either on Draenor or in Ashran will net you bones for collecting purposes.

Trading Post To unlock the level 3 blueprints for the Trading Post, you'll have to complete the achievement Savage Friends, which requires you to earn exalted reputation with three different Draenor reputations. The level three building will increase your reputation gain in Draenor by 20%.

Large Buildings

Barracks To unlock the level 3 blueprints for the Barracks, you'll need to complete the achievement Patrolling Draenor, which requires you to complete 50 Patrol missions with your followers. Patrol missions are marked with a spyglass icon in the mission frame, rather than the crossed swords of combat missions.

Dwarven Bunker/War Mill To unlock the level 3 blueprints for these buildings, you'll need to complete Filling the Ranks. This requires you to raise 20 garrison followers to level 100 -- acquiring a level 100 follower does not count towards this achievement.

Gnomish Gearworks/Goblin Workshop To unlock the level 3 blueprints for these buildings, you'll need to complete Terrific Technology. This achievement requires you to use each of the inventions created at the building. There are nine different inventions to use, and they spawn randomly in the building, so you likely won't be getting them in any particular order, and you may see more than one of the same invention available before you cycle through them all.

Mage Tower/Spirit Lodge To unlock the level 3 blueprints for the Mage Tower or Spirit Lodge, you'll need to collect 500 Ogre Waystones to complete the achievement Finding Your Waystones. Ogre Waystones have a chance to drop off of any ogre mob on Draenor, as long as you have one of these two buildings at level 1 or higher in your garrison. Note, however, that they are not a guaranteed drop.

Stables To unlock the level 3 blueprints for the Stables, you'll need to complete the achievement Master of Mounts. This requires you to complete all six series of quests for the various trainable mounts you can acquire from the stables. It's a pretty long chain of quests, but the level three stables will allow you to ride with a 20% boost to mounted speed while you're in Draenor.

Note that all level three buildings require a level 3 garrison to create -- you might earn the blueprints while you're leveling, if you're leveling slowly, but you won't be able to construct the actual structures until you've reached level 100 and upgraded your Town Hall to level 3. All level 3 blueprints are unlocked on an account-wide basis, which means that all of the associated achievements only need to be completed on one character per account. You won't be stuck slogging through the same sets of dailies and farming on more than one character -- your alts can reap the rewards of all your hard work, and start creating fortresses of their own.
