The Queue: A hodor of questions

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Adam Holisky (@adamholisky) will be your host today.

We'll hop down into the Queue today with a slew of questions.

Alkaline asked:

Is anything planed for Tanaan in the future? It seems odd that its un accessible after the wod intro quests

Yes. Tanaan is going to be a zone that we're going to get in some future content patch. Blizzard hasn't exactly said when that patch is coming, but I'm not going to be surprised to see it in patch 6.1. Tanaan, as is said on the world map, will be for level 100 players only.

Kelly asked:

Is there or has anyone heard of a violet holdesque type dungeon being in wod? I may be in the minority but I like the short timed dungeons.

I like the Violet Hold dungeon as well, but there's been no announcement of any plans to put one in. Personally, I wouldn't hold my breath.

Souljummer asked:

Q4tQ: Is SoO soloable at 100? Do we now get the im top level all things below me must die buff? I'm low on cash and thinking about taking a night to clear the place for gold.

SoO isn't soloable at 100 -- yet. I fully expect it to be soon, but right now I haven't heard of anyone soloing it. A little too early in the expansion's lifecycle to be soloing the previous expansion's final raid.

Jeff asked:

Is there any benefit to having rare or epic followers beyond the extra abilities they come with?

There's not, but you shouldn't discount those extra abilities. The combinations of them allow for you to complete the level 100 and greater missions. Without the combinations of the extra abilities you wouldn't be able to do everything. So while it may seem trivial while leveling up your followers, when it comes down to it the abilities, and the epicness, are pretty important.

ArthurN asked:

Is there a maximum ilvl for normal dungeons? I like to run dungeons on normal once before I do the heroic, just because I prefer to learn a dungeon on easy mode before trying it on heroic. After I ran normal Skyreach about a week or so ago to get the 640 ring, I was at 610 ilvl and I'm now 620 but still have multiple slots where the normal gear would be an upgrade. As soon as I hit ilvl 610 I could no longer queue for normal. Is this working as intended or is it something that has been/will be fixed?

That sounds like a bug -- I haven't heard anything like this before. If it is a feature then it's absolutely terrible. My shadow priest is ready for raiding, and I'm getting ready to start healing. My method is tried and true -- get some heroic healing gear, then go into normals and start grinding out the healing gear. Easy to learn how to heal in a new expansion that way.

But again, I'm assuming this is a bug ... there shouldn't be a max ilevel cap.
