The Queue: Invasions, Barov, Stables, LFR, and Chili

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Adam Holisky (@adamholisky) will be your host today.
Welcome to Wednesday's Queue, where we manage to talk about at least a couple things that are not garrison related.
Hayden Higgs asked:
Invasions! How the hell do you start an invasion?! Three weeks and I've got nothing. I've got my level 3 garrison and every day I'm hoping for a little quest to pop up and start having orcs or whatnot lay waste to my garrison. But nothing.
Do the crystal dailies you get in your garrison's throne room. Eventually the mobs that you kill through those quests will trigger the invasions, and then you'll be happy. But at the same time you'll be unhappy, because it's totally a random thing. The RNG for the invasions is something that needs some serious rethinking, in my opinion. It's not fun to never get them, or to get them very sparingly.
I haven't been doing my dailies religiously, granted, but about 4 or 5 times a week. I still haven't gotten an invasion. Sad panda.
CGulliver asked:
Question: why is it that I have set Barov to my herb garden yet he stays in my lumber mill chopping wood? Shouldn't he be in my herb garden?
That's an interesting observation, and one that I've had on other things as well. I think there's a few situations where the garrison is not working as intended, or rather there just needs to be a few minor tweaks here and there. Blizzard is getting to these low-priority bugs, however. There seems to be a constant stream of updates.
Merkavar asked:
Q4TQ anyone finding the LFR too easy? As in too easy for LFR.
I haven't ran LFR yet myself, but in talking with my colleagues at WoW Insider, I've heard nothing but the word "easy" thrown around. And you know what? I'm glad. LFR should be easy. It should be a relatively simple way to see the content, to experience the story, to get familiar with game mechanics outside of a 5-person group. Let there be easy raids! There are several more levels of difficulty ahead for those that want them (like myself, as soon as I find a raiding guild and my life settles down a bit).
Adarin asked:
What is the cooldown for the stable mount quests? It seems like it's less than 24hrs..
The dailies are on a normal 24-hour cooldown, the initial capture quests seem to appear at random. I haven't been able to divine a pattern there yet.
Jeff asked:
Making a pot of chili today. So I thought I would ask, how do you like your chili? What kind of meat, beans (or no beans), crushed oreos? Do you top it with cheese, onions or sour cream?
Here's what I put in my chili, which I'm told is quite good:
- Beef
- Kielbasa Sausage
- Red, Orange, and Yellow Bell Peppers
- Chopped Tomatoes
- Kidney Beans
- Some very hot special reserve Tabasco sauce (or some other super hot kind)
- Various seasoning -- chili powder, onion powder, cyan pepper, garlic powder, cumin, pepper
I usually post on Twitter when I'm making chili, because Twitter. I'll probably be making it again over the weekend, if you want to keep an eye out. It's damn good, if I do say so myself.
