C.K. Sample, III, co-lead blogger for The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW) and contributor to PSP Fanboy, TV Squad, and Cinematical began his gaming career with Pong. Since then he has owned and played almost every gaming console that the world has thrown at him. His all-time favorite games are Populous, Legend of Zelda, Super Puzzle Fighter Turbo II, Diablo II, and, of course, World of Warcraft. He also loves making the PSP do more than it was originally intended to do to such a degree that he authored a book on the subject: PSP Hacks.

How to get unstuck

stuck night elfFor some reason, I like to jump off of things and commit virtual suicide on a semi-regular basis while playing World of Warcraft. I don't know why. It makes me giggle like a young Tauren maid. In any case, as a result of this little hobby, I have—from time to time—found myself stuck and wedged in between two bits of some odd area of Azeroth where no character was ever supposed to tread.

Of course, the first time I did this, I tried exiting the game and re-entering, only to find myself still entirely stuck and unable to move. I panicked. I shouted out into the virtual halls, "I'm stuck!!!" A fellow gamer came by and advised that I try backing out. I tried, but I was firmly planted between a wall and a bookshelf.

The solution: I used my Hearthstone to teleport back to my home. So, remember kids, if you find yourself stuck somewhere in WoW, use your Hearthstone. *sigh* Home, sweet home.

Give the gift of WoW

World of WarcraftIf you're looking to get a gaming friend or loved one a cool gift for the holidays, why not give the gift of World of Warcraft? There are several deals to be had online. Remember, not that long ago, Blizzard offered a nice little treat of a free month of World of Warcraft for recommending it to a friend.

Right now, DealNews is reporting that Amazon is selling World of Warcraft at the all time low price of $29.99 with free shipping and 60-day account cards for only $24.99. Check it out, and remember: giving the WoW is a gift to us all. The more the merrier!
