But Klarisse, so used to underwhelming vanity item effects, was surprised to find that the Shrinka' actually made her much smaller than she intended. She hearthed back to the Vale of Eternal Blossoms to try to find a healer, but ended up being squashed by Jorunga Stonehoof. So basically, never try to see anything from another person's perspective, or you will end up as a smear below the hoof of a giant bull. Truly a lesson for the ages.

Goblin warrior Zealality of Delirium Trigger on Area 52 (US-A) was on her way to bash in some skulls with her enormous sword and hammer when she came upon this little moonkin hatchling and just had to stop and make sure it was all right. Then the moonkin did a tiny adorable Starfire and killed Zealality in a very cute way. Squee!

"Their recent run of 10-man Icecrown Citadel went more than a little askew. They were merrily blasting through the raid when they got to Arthas. With the amount of firepower of the eight 90s in the group, he never really got a chance to progress through the phases of the encounter. He didn't kill everyone until he himself was at 0%. When three minutes had passed and the group hadn't been rezzed, Zyemay pointed out there was still a drudge ghoul standing behind Arthas. (We named him Ted.) The tank, Skipkick, released, came back, killed the ghoul, was killed and then the encounter started up again. Everyone who needed the achievement got it, as well as a couple of achievements the group thought it had not received because no achievement registered at the time the boss was downed. At least one person got their Nausea, Heartburn, Indigestion after receiving their Fall of the Lich King achievement. So, yeah. Just another normal night of Spectacular Death raiding."

Sad, to be sure, but it's probably the closest anyone in Azeroth has ever come to dying of natural causes. Like all dogs presented with a strange object, Ezekington just had to see if it was edible. (This is the same logic my son uses.) Ugh! Artificial banana flavor? That worgen's learned his lesson ... at least until the next time.

He stole the Divine Bell. He tried to have Vol'jin murdered. He killed Rhonin (although that may not have been such a bad thing.) But when Garrosh Hellscream sicced his Kor'kron on Gamon, the patron saint of vulnerable, oft-murdered NPCs everywhere, he went too far. Soon, an army of level 5 quilboars, gnolls, murlocs and other quest-bait will swarm on the Warchief, dying by the millions in a pointless assassination attempt. Such is the way of Azeroth. This one features the doomed goblin homeland of Kezan at sunset. Sure, it's polluted, tacky and filled with tin-roof shacks, but dammit, it was home. Maybe we shouldn't have centered our entire civilization under the shadow of a giant active volcano, and then mined underneath the giant active volcano, and then built a city where we mined and filled it with alchemists and engineers and other explosion-causing professionals. But hindsight is 20/20.

"A white, glowing blur would zoom across the landscape about five feet up in the air. I couldn't target it and it was fast. It was like nothing I'd seen before in game. It would always head towards Longshore and disappear. I think I got a picture. But I still don't know what it is. Sure looks like a UFO to me. This one was stationary when I found it. It just slowly blinked out as I stood there watching."

But they can't exactly start a revolution, not with the Horde threatening and all those damned Stormwind guards hanging around. So what are they to do? Why, slap a humiliating mask on the king! Ha ha! Look at that big orange frown! Sure, you'll be dragged to the dungeons and executed the next day, but it's totally worth it. (Thanks to Dukii for the screenshot!)

This photograph was taken by Ginei of Desert Rats on Blackhand (US-A) and it captures her cat Zoe attempting to drown herself in a World of Warcraft beer glass. Presumably she just heard the news that Patch 5.3 will be released on Tuesday, and thus she will not be receiving any petting for the next month since her owner will be too absorbed in the game. Or maybe there's Bailey's Irish Cream in the glass. Cats go crazy for that stuff.

As in literally several hundred. I think that's considered justification for homicide in Texas. Anyway, several of Taedran's pictures featured zoomed-out high-definition pictures of certain zones in the game. This one features the isolated (and unvisitable, except for newbie goblins) Lost Isles. It seems like a paradise. Why did we ever leave?

What sorcery is this? Submitter Aryon of AnyThingButSerious on Ghostlands (EU-A) caught Fleshcrafter Hoku literally contemplating his own mortality on the Isle of Thunder. Respawn timers take a lot of the sting out of the old "what happens to us when we die" question, don't they? Oh, when we die we come back a few minutes later, only to be killed again. It's like the dollar store form of reincarnation.

So with the help of a local engineer, he retrofitted a rocket to fit his stag form's hooves. Sadly, his plan hit a snag when he tried to fuel up his rocket with grass and herbs, and discovered that a high-tech mount takes more effort to maintain than the organic kind. I can't tell who has the nastiest sneer on their face -- the rocket or the deer.

But somehow Nölan of Caelum on Sylvanas (EU-A) has managed to hit ... something. An invisible force field? The "sky" from The Truman Show? A translucent plate? Whatever it is, it's stripped all the flesh from his bones, and it's a long way for a skeleton to fall.
