While I'm sure plenty of folks will have opinions about the final quality of the piece, the redub is a famous and time-honored method of parody.

The Mountain Dew connect is especially amusing to me, especially because that's a drink that's been long associated with WoW. I suppose if we had to pick a soft drink to corrupt a tribe of orcs, then it probably would be the Dew.

Do You Want To Do a Rep Grind? is a shockingly thorough WoW parody. The lyrics came together plenty well, and the vocal performance is tone perfect for both the original song and this mournful version. And, hey, I can feel the pain. Rep grinds suck, whether you're helping or the one being helped.

Or, perhaps, at least more expendable. Featuring some of Beckman's incredible vocal and animation skills, this parody brings home all the rock 'em sock 'em bacon you could ever want. The animation is definitely more rusty than Blizzard's trailer, but I think Beckman's parody tells you exactly as much about the plot.

I basically backed up the video a half million times and watched that first quarter minute over and over.

Okay, fine, I watched the whole thing. The punchline is a tiny bit tired, but the overall video was great. Look, it's hard to go wrong with a quicky video featuring murloc jokes. I think someone crooning "in the arms of an angellllll" would have made the video better, though I'm not sure any of us need to hear that song again.

Ultimately, it's a fun little video. I look forward to what might be in store in the future for Azian.

Despite the fact we spent two years raiding ICC while waiting for Cataclysm, plenty of modern players weren't around for that raid. In a helpful attempt to catch up newer players, Slightly Impressive is busting out Icecrown Citadel Abridged. Take the time to check out the video and sigh impressively at the nostalgia.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Orcs tracks a team of four turtles who find themselves transformed into orcs, and launch themselves into a world of adventure.

I can't really give you a detailed breakdown of the video points. It was just a long blur of joy. This video left me awash in sweet nostalgia, and I was completely satisfied with the character choices. Splinter became just the right critter. Shredder maybe could have been a little better, but the human-with-claws wasn't a bad choice. I've watched this video about ten times now, and I'm pretty sure I'm ready for some pizza.

It's a lighthearted romp through the world of Azeroth with Garrosh and Daddy Hellscream. It looks like the two chaps finally get together. As you might expect, the reunited orcs spend quality time together by looting, pillaging, and beating up a certain green skinned nogoodnik.

Ian really masters the tone of this video with his usual aplomb. I kept expecting a discrete punchline but in retrospect, it's the surreality of the two Hellscreams flouncing about that makes the video hilarious. Take the time to check the video out; it's work safe!

Elven Death - Rain of Chaos is either the name of an upcoming thrasher album, or one of the hardest core titles for a machinima ever made.

Don't get me wrong. The video is fine. The graphics look pretty and serve as a good testament to the creator's skill. The narrative feels muddled to me but that could just be that I can't get past the name. Not since Overkill has the title of art so inspired me to whip out a guitar and start waling away. Bill and Ted would be proud.

It's somewhere between your usual WoW machinima and something like the Scary Movie series (but not nearly so obnoxious).

I want to highlight one particular aspect of the machinima. It's the right length. Just enough content kept the plot moving, without making the whole thing feel entirely contrived. Sure, some of the jokes have been around a while, but after nearly a decade of the game... what are you expecting? The Lazy Peon excellently kept pace and cut it off when the point was made. Very well done.

But the inestimable Slightly Impressive has finally tackled the subject with Stuff WoW Elitists Say. I get nervous about poking fingers at people as "elitist" or "newb" or anything else, but all is fair in love and comedy.

Though, I do find the commentary about researching for LFR, item levels in flex runs, and the AQ event especially inspired. The very best elitist comments require occult references to events that happened nearly a decade ago. After all, someone born during the AQ event is looking forward to middle school soon.

It's nice to see Boar Thrills ride again. While I certainly miss Wowcrendor's cast of characters, Boar Thrills has been a favorite of mine for a while. It's a nice way to revisit nostalgic moments from WoW gone by, without complete giving up on funny jokes and killer one-liners. And who doesn't love seeing a new Wowcrendor video?

But I think you can pick up the gist fairly easily from the adorable animation and extremely effective visual storytelling. Frankly, the entire video is worth it for the short time the orc is dancing. I mean, come on; that's so cute it hurts.

But I think we've found out the real secret of Horde technology. I won't spoil, but let's say that I've always suspected that's exactly the tech we should expect out of Garrosh. Thanks to Aktanaly, the reader who sent it in!

I'm not sure parody is actually the right word; it's an homage to the original video. Created frame-by-fame against the original opening, Attack on Titan delivers every send a faithful homage to the original movie, just set in Azeroth.

It's always amazing how much effort creators put into this kind of thing, and Arm of Hades succeeds in every aspect. As if that homage wasn't enough, Attack on Titan serves well as a trailer for WoW itself. And who doesn't love some fast paced guitar?

Obviously, the game designs specific balance between classes, and the abilities each class possesses is how you get there. But if we were to somehow port the classes of WoW over to real life, do warriors really get a fair shake?

Even Dungeons and Dragons has that problem. The permutations we go through to make Fighters awesome linger to this very day. But, keep in mind the flip side of all this picking on Warriors. I won't spoil the punchline, but the guy at the end reminds us all that they're not the only class in that untenable position.

But, really, this video is about enjoying the music with some awesome WoW costumes. After all, what do you do with a drunken Hordie? The answer seems pretty clear by the end.

The plot seems to glide along pretty well, and the animation satisfies. Most of the action works convincingly against the backdrop of Azeroth, and the dialogue seems well written.

The downside is the voice track. The first bit of the movie is nearly unintelligible. I'm not sure if it's voice actors who struggle with working the mic, if it's something with the compression, or what's happening. But the dialogue audio needs work badly. That distortion is a huge drag on what could otherwise be a truly excellent story-based machinima. Here's hoping the next episode shows big improvement.

It can be a little tough sorting out what's true versus what's simply political rumor, but handrails in Thunder Bluff will probably save more lives this year than healers.

This video represents some of the SI team's best ideas yet. It's hilarious and the animation perfectly suits the tongue-in-cheek subject matter. I love these guys.

The dialogue in this video is exceedingly difficult to hear. Especially compared to all the other crisp, clear portions of soundtrack, making out what anyone is saying is extremely difficult. That's a shame, too, because the story is fairly obvious from video (a gnome is rebuked and chooses to save Christmas), and the animation promises some pretty good future work. The "suiting up" sequence is especially fun; you can't go wrong with Ozzy.

So, while A Gnomish Winter Veil could have used a little extra vocal work, it's all in all a good piece.

The video itself is about as straightforward as you can get. It's basically a human character riding around Azeroth while the song plays in the background.

I nearly didn't feature this video at all, except I can see where the creator was coming from. He was aiming for a moody, introspective piece. Adding a second character and some sense of story would have greatly enhanced the video. This machinima, as is, feels empty. There's not much content here. The animation itself is fine, as it's all just in game footage, but there's simply nothing for a viewer to watch. That sense of story is critical; the video itself has to stand under its own weight.

The thing about WRUP is that I always want use it like "wrup, yo." Kind of like that old commercial with everyone saying "Wazzzzaaaaap." Just I want to be like, "Hey, team. WRUUUUUUUUUUUP." Does that make me old? I feel old.

What's not old: the Crusader. Still fun. At this point, what are your thoughts on playing a Crusader? And is it time for that sucker to make the leap over into WoW? I don't know what the Crusader would be in Hearthstone because I'm too busy blowing up murlocs. Like you do.

(Not familiar with filk? It's folk music about fiction. I'd still be careful using the word on the streeth, though. Filk just sounds naughty.)

Waiting for Warlords probably won't show up on any pop music lists, but it's a nice way to kill a few minutes during a load screen. And while I hope everyone is actually pretty patient while waiting for the expansion, maybe this song will help soothe those who are feeling anxious.

Unfortunately, the novice-ness shows in the video. The voice acting is kind of rough, the story drags on, and the animation is crude. That being said, The Noobish Death Knight is clearly a labor of love.

Burkendah obviously worked to make the video as good as he could. It features jokes and an actual plot, which is a lot more than can be said for plenty of machinima. Frankly, I'm positive that if Burkendah keeps with it, we'll clearly see some outstanding videos from him. The potential shines clearly through the newb roughness, and I can't wait to see what comes.

It's an interesting attempt at homage, and I applaud the effort. The animation and visuals work fairly well, but the video is over pretty quickly. It needed much more narrative meat to effective satirize or even translate Walking Dead into WoW. While it might have been short since it was a first effort, I think the technical skills put on display are capable of a larger story. Besides, who doesn't love the occasional zombie?

Programming, design, dialogue, and game balance represent only small portions of the work. You also have to deal with licensing, actors, and egomaniacal undead rulers. That's probably why Ian Beckman released Heroes of the Storm Developer Diary: Arthas. With this video, we get an unedited look behind the curtain to see what it took to get Arthas into the arena.

I think the revelation about his role in Frozen is the most important. After all, of all the WoW characters, I think Arthas could fit the Disney heroic arc the best.
