Submitter Taedran of Guilty as Charged on Silvermoon (US-A) has captured another high-resolution, long-distance zone picture. This one features the doomed goblin homeland of Kezan at sunset. Sure, it's polluted, tacky and filled with tin-roof shacks, but dammit, it was home. Maybe we shouldn't have centered our entire civilization under the shadow of a giant active volcano, and then mined underneath the giant active volcano, and then built a city where we mined and filled it with alchemists and engineers and other explosion-causing professionals. But hindsight is 20/20.

Another entry from the archives of mega-submitter Taedran of Guilty as Charged on Silvermoon (US-A). I'm not entirely sure what has caused the rivers of Uldum to run red with blood, nor why the sky suddenly resembles the favorite poster of college girls everywhere, Van Gogh's The Starry Night. But I'm pretty sure that hallucinogens are somehow involved. Which, unless you are a devotee of certain American Indian religions, is officially Not Cool with the government. "As I was leveling herbalism in Westfall, I noticed something unusual," writes submitter Jkal of Alexstrasza (US-A). "A white, glowing blur would zoom across the landscape about five feet up in the air. I couldn't target it and it was fast. It was like nothing I'd seen before in game. It would always head towards Longshore and disappear. I think I got a picture. But I still don't know what it is. Sure looks like a UFO to me. This one was stationary when I found it. It just slowly blinked out as I stood there watching."

Everyone might be focused on unseating Garrosh Hellscream right now, but there are still a few Alliance folks who aren't too happy with Varian Wrynn. But they can't exactly start a revolution, not with the Horde threatening and all those damned Stormwind guards hanging around. So what are they to do? Why, slap a humiliating mask on the king! As long-time readers may remember, sometimes on Sundays we like to run pictures from that strange, high-definition world outside Azeroth. This photograph was taken by Ginei of Desert Rats on Blackhand (US-A) and it captures her cat Zoe attempting to drown herself in a World of Warcraft beer glass. Presumably she just heard the news that Patch 5.3 will be released on Tuesday, and thus she will not be receiving any petting for the next month since her owner will be too absorbed in the game. Or maybe there's Bailey's Irish Cream in the glass. Cats go crazy for that stuff.

I think that's considered justification for homicide in Texas. Anyway, several of Taedran's pictures featured zoomed-out high-definition pictures of certain zones in the game. This one features the isolated (and unvisitable, except for newbie goblins) Lost Isles. It seems like a paradise. Why did we ever leave?

Submitter Sporkwind of That Takes Effort on Terenas (US-A) was tired of his travel form not being able to keep up with his friends' mounts. So with the help of a local engineer, he retrofitted a rocket to fit his stag form's hooves. Sadly, his plan hit a snag when he tried to fuel up his rocket with grass and herbs, and discovered that a high-tech mount takes more effort to maintain than the organic kind. I can't tell who has the nastiest sneer on their face -- the rocket or the deer.

Around Azeroth Calling in sick THURSDAY
Nope nope nope. Not going out today. Sure, I've got dailies to complete, reps to grind, and dungeons to complete. But there's no way I'm going out in this rain. My feathers are going to get all wet and smelly and the other night elves will make fun of me. Plus, the mantid swarm in this particular hive is binge-watching Arrested Development, and there's just no way I can miss that with the new season coming up. Sure, both of these panda cubs are cute, but only one is so cute that it transcends the very bonds of gravity and gives off an unearthly aura of peace and harmony. But which transmogrified member of Akamizu on Al'Akir (EU-H) is the enlightened one? Druid Gonk or rogue Samíe? I vote for the latter; there's nothing more adorable than a female pandaren. She's probably happily recalling her childhood (cubhood?)

"Mouths open, throats quivering in eerie harmony. It held me speechless in terror -- right up until all the rest of the virmin horde respawned right on top of me. One dwarf mage, splattered all over the landscape. Next time, I'm blowing up any and all cute fuzzy animals, babies or not." You just killed their mom! What did you expect?

It's not that I don't trust your flying skills, sweetheart. I'm just a little concerned that a dragon made of stone might not be the most aerodynamic thing there is. All it takes is one crack in the wing and bam, I'm a widow. And you don't even have life insurance! So I packed you a parachute, just in case. Now give me five minutes; I need to figure out how to get this seat belt to fit across your mount's wingspan. And could you make sure I installed the airbag in that front horn? What does Crazyazell of Serenity Knights on Bronzebeard (US-A) do after a long day of questing around Pandaria, raising an army of the damned and spreading pestilence and plague among her enemies? Why, relax in a public hot tub, surrounded by flowers and candles. Looks inviting, right? But be careful about joining her. A death knight's bath is probably filled with more diseases than a Seaside Heights sauna.
