- Thoradin's Wall
Thoradin's Wall marks the border between Arathi Highlands and Hillsbrad, although it is in disrepair and is unguarded. It is also known for luring miners of too-low-levels through its gate from Hillsbrad in search of mining nodes that tend to crop up alongside the wall.
- Circle of West Binding
This circle can be found in the western section of the province, north of the main road, near Thoradin's Wall, which separates Arathi Highlands from Hillsbrad. It is guarded by fire elementals.
- Northfold Manor
Northfold Manor is controlled by the Syndicate. As such, it is rather difficult to approach at or below level; it is surrounded by sometimes tightly packed stealthed foes.
- Dabyrie Farmstead
This farmstead is allied with the Alliance, and is featured in Horde quests. The fields are occupied by Alliance humans, while the grounds are protected by the Dabyrie Militia.
- Across Refuge Pointe
Refuge Pointe is actually set into the earth, with high walls encircling it, and a path leading up and out in two, opposite, directions. There are guards above and below, as well as on the nearby roads. These natural walls provide both a defensive advantage and vulnerability.
- Refuge Pointe
Looking down on Refuge Pointe from above, it becomes clear that this Alliance camp is much less built-up than its Horde counterpart of Hammerfall.
- Circle of Outer Binding
This circle is guarded by air elementals, and is located near Refuge Pointe.
- Circle of Inner Binding
This binding circle is guarded by earth elementals and is located near Stromgarde.
- Stromgarde Keep from a distance
Stromgarde Keep is actually very large. It is set against rock and next to a small lake.
- Inside Stromgarde Keep
The Humans of Stromgarde wear red tabards with a white bird on the front, probably an eagle or hawk. This is a ruined capital, once the home of the humans. Only some of it remains in the hands of Stromgarde forces; other areas have been usurped by ogres and even Witherbark trolls. This used to be a very difficult questing zone, but Blizzard removed the elite status from most of the mobs in patch 2.3.
- Bridge to Thandol Span
Thandol Span bridges an enormous and deep chasm that separates Arathi Highlands from the Wetlands. This rickety-looking rope bridge leads to the main bridge on the right. On the left is a small pocket of dwarves.
- Boulderfist Hall
Located between Thandol Span and Witherbark Village, Boulderfist Hall is a cave for hostile ogres, although they hand out on the front lawn too.
- Go'Shek Farm
This farm is filled with orcs who are friendly with the Horde. The orcs are presumably gathering supplies for Hammerfall, the Horde outpost in Arathi Highlands, although there are rumors about experiments being conducted by the Forsaken. It is featured in Alliance quests.
- Witherbark Village
Arathi Highlands, although carrying a somewhat yellow-and-pink-vibe, is actually pretty scenic, if you only stop to look around. Witherbark Village is one of the more picturesque areas. Here, you can just see the edges of it from across an adjacent body of water.
- A cave in Witherbark Village
Witherbark Village has a few cave systems, and they're actually pretty substantially sized. It's full of forest trolls who have allied themselves with the Boulderfist ogres against both the Alliance and the Horde. If you're looking to level your mining, the caves, as well as Witherbark Village in general, are good places to add to your rounds.
- Witherbark Village
As you exit the deep, dark troll caves in Witherbark Village, the bright sunlight and cheerful greenery greet you - along with a hostile forest troll, of course.
- Circle of East Binding
This is one of the four Circles of Binding that were used to bind Myzrael, an elemental princess. Each binding circle is guarded by elementals, who also play a role in a warrior's weapon quest. This eastern circle is governed by the water element. In vanilla WoW, these circles were prime farming spots for elemental crafting materials.
- Mysterious crystal
This site strongly resembles the Circles of Binding. In fact, the pinkish-purplish crystal is where Myzrael has been bound using those circles. If you persist through a very long chain of quests, you will eventually get a group quest to summon and kill her before she grows too powerful.
- Hammerfall at Night
Hammerfall is a rather large outpost, especially compared to Refuge Pointe. Above is a view from near the gate; you can see the forge on the left, with the flightmaster above, and the main building, which houses the quest-givers and vendors.
- Hammerfall
Hammerfall is the Horde outpost in Arathi Highlands. Although it has several large buildings, it is sparsely populated. Above is a view of Hammerfall from the flight platform. To the left, off-screen, is the main building and a porch, which both house quest-givers and vendors.
- The Defilers
In behind the main building in Hammerfall is a small Defilers camp, including an Arathi Basin quest-giver and a quartermaster.
- Advanced First Aid
In vanilla WoW, the only way to maximize your first aid skills was through a quest. For the Horde, that meant completing this doctor's test. While the quest is no longer necessary, it is fun to do if you're in the vicinity, and involves bandaging wounded patients. Completing it will get you 20 runecloth bandages and a gray Completion Certificate.
