- Caverns of Time, Tanaris
The Caverns of Time, on the Tanaris coastline. Home to numerous level 70 and 80 time-travel-themed instances. In Cataclysm, the Caverns of Time will be home to new instances as well.
- Bootlegger Outpost, Tanaris
Bootlegger Outpost is a goblin (neutral) quest hub in Central Tanaris overlooking The Gaping Chasm.

The Southeastern Kalimdor zone of Tanaris. Gadgetzan remains the major hub here, but there are new hubs for both Alliance and Horde to explore.
- Wavestrider Beach, Tanaris
The flooded remains of Wavestrider Beach in Eastern Tanaris have now been claimed by the Southsea Pirates. The ruins of Steamwheedle Port can be seen off in the distance.
- Steamwheedle Port, Tanaris
The flooded remains of Steamwheedle Port in Northeast Tanaris. Numerous Steamwheedle Survivors populate the area.
- Zul'Farrak, Tanaris
Zul'Farrak, the major Sandfury Troll instance, remains in Northwest Tanaris.
- Dunemaul Compound, Tanaris
The events of Cataclysm have, unfortunately, left the Dunemaul Ogres unscathed in the center of the zone.
- The Noxious Lair, Tanaris
The silithid-infested Noxious Lair, in West-Central Tanaris, remains largely unchanged in Cataclysm.
- Thistleshrub Valley, Tanaris
Thistleshrub Valley, in Southwest Tanaris, is home to a large variety of desert flora. It also now serves as the gateway into the Egyptian-themed zone Uldum.
- Dawnrise Expedition, Tanaris
The Dawnrise Expedition is a new Horde quest hub located in Southern Tanaris near the Valley of the Watchers.
- Valley of the Watchers, Tanaris
The Valley of the Watchers, in far Southern Tanaris, provides some interesting ruins for both Horde and Alliance players to explore.
- Valley of the Watchers (Uldum), Tanaris
Before being treated to the full zone of Uldum after level 80, newer characters can explore Uldum-themed ruins as part of the Tanaris-questing experience in the Valley of the Watchers.
- Southmoon Ruins, Tanaris
The Southmoon Ruins in Southern Tanaris is now the site of a grand battle between the Alliance-led Explorer's League and the Horde-aligned Reliquary Diggers.
- Explorer's League Camp, Tanaris
This Explorer's League Camp in Southern Tanaris serves as a quest hub for Alliance players in Southern Tanaris.
- Lost Rigger Cove, Tanaris
Lost Rigger Cove, once sanctuary for the Southsea Pirates, is now the scene of a three-way battle royale between gnomes, goblins, and the pirates.
