- Grand Master Inscription Trainer
After some searching, I finally found a trainer who would talk to me! There are currently no trainers in starting cities or capitol cities, and the trainers in Warsong Hold and Dalaran won't interact (no matter how many times you click them insistently). I was thrilled to make the acquaintance of Booker Kells in Vengeance Landing, who was able to teach me the ways of inscribing. (Unfortunately for potential scribes, the profession also requires you to posses Scribe Tools, currently only purchasable in Dalaran.)
- Initial Inscription Training
When you begin your career as a scribe, you'll know how to make a Scroll of Stamina (requires Ivory Ink, made from Peacebloom, and Light Parchment, purchasable from an Inscription vendor), Ivory Ink (made from Peacebloom), and Silver Ink (made from Silverleaf). Herbalists may want to start stockpiling in advance, but I found it easy enough to spend an hour or two running around Brill gathering herbs to be sufficient for my training.
- Bleached Parchment
On my next trip to the trainer, I learned two interesting new recipes. Here we see Bleached Parchment, on which an enchanter can place armor enchantments for later use (or sale on the Auction House). Crafting it is fairly simple: you need Light Parchment (purchasable from an Inscription vendor) and Moonglow Ink (which you craft using Alabaster Pomace, which you acquire by milling 5 low level herbs -- Peacebloom, Silverleaf, or Earthroot will all do the trick).
- Mysterious Tarot
Using this recipe gives you a random Rogue tarot card. These seem to be a low level variant on Darkmoon Faire decks -- once you've collected the entire deck (Ace, 2, 3, 4, 5), you can turn it in for a randomly enchanted armor reward.
- Scroll of Recall
The Scroll of Recall looks like a fun hearthstone alternative! Using one will return you to your set home location on a 15 minute cooldown. (Be warned -- using these seems to reset your current hearthstone cooldown as well as using up the scroll. Fortunately they're cheap to make!)
- The Darkmoon Rogues Deck
When I completed a deck of mysterious tarot cards, I was given this quest. The Darkmoon Faire isn't in town yet, though, and I couldn't find a gypsy anywhere I looked.
- Treated Vellum
I maxxed out the Inscription skill I could get from using Peacebloom, Silverleaf, and Earthroot at around 100 skill. Here we see another enchanting item, Treated Vellum, which can be used for weapon enchants. Crafting it requires Light Parchment (5, as opposed to previous patterns which only called for 1) and Midnight Ink (which can be crafted using Dusky Pumace, which is created by milling the next level of herbs, Briarthorn, etc).
