How exciting! Currently, the motorbikes are for sale for 5 gold just outside of the Engineering shop in Dalaran. I assume this is for testing purposes. They're mounts, but they use some of the new siege vehicle mechanics to allow a passenger. There are some bugs, so it's a good thing they're just handing them out like this.
The sample bike sitting outside of the shop uses the Alliance model, but both the Horde and the Alliance are given mounts that use the Horde model. A bug, certainly.
The license plate says it all.
What is it about motorcycles that makes me want to jump off of really tall things?
Really, really tall things...
Yep... still falling.
How convenient! Since the mount uses siege vehicle mechanics, it currently takes the falling damage, not me! I don't imagine it'll stay that way when Wrath goes retail.
I mentioned passengers earlier, so let's go back to that.
One person can click on your motorbike while you're on it and hop into your sidecar. They get to simply hang out and enjoy the ride while you throw them (and yourself) off of a cliff.
- I hope you have First Aid.
See, this is what happens when you get into the sidecar of someone who has a fascination with throwing themselves off of stuff.
Actually, no. Motorbikes are still a little buggy, so you're just seeing a wonky character model here. If you can't tell, that's his leg stabbing him through the head.
- The long road home
That's it for now, ladies and gents. I think that was enough time to tell just how awesome these things are, so I'm going to go on a soul-searching journey across Northrend to find my true self, and perhaps become a vigilante crimefighter on the way with a cool name like 'Walker' or 'Sir Killsalot.'
In other words, eat my dust, noobs! If you have other questions about these awesome hogs (or anything else Wrath related), head on over to our Ask a Beta Tester column, leave a comment, and we'll answer you if we can!
