Mar 22nd 2008 10:31PM My 70 spends all of her time PvPing, occasionally world PvP, so the only real thing I'd be using an epic flying mount for would be to go up to the inn and buy some water and then back to the battlemasters. It'd be faster, but not enough faster to justify the cost!
Really, if I go farming for anything with her, it's low-end mats for alts, so the fast mount in Azeroth would be useful, but currently I have no use for one in Outlands.
Mar 22nd 2008 8:16PM If we could, I'd actually bother to buy my epic flyer. As it stands, being able to only use the flying mounts in Outlands makes me entirely disinclined to bother getting an epic even though I could easily afford one.
Mar 17th 2008 8:43AM I personally don't care about breaking records, but I know it gives some people joy and I can't argue with that. It it makes you feel good to blast to 70 on a new realm before anyone else makes it there, good for you. No way in hell I'm going to do something like that, but I don't have a problem with others feeling the drive to do it.
Mar 15th 2008 7:12PM I'm getting around 5 in-game mails per day from gold spammers, something I hadn't seen for months. It makes me sad to see the "new mail" icon and find out it's just gold spammers. D:
Mar 15th 2008 5:17PM Does anyone really wait 30 minutes before they file a report if they're offended by something?
Mar 15th 2008 4:27PM For everyone bemoaning the "difficulty" of reporting people with ASCII characters:
Shift + Right click on the name
They added this feature in a while back that if you Shift+RightClick on a name it copy-pastes it for you into the message you're typing. It's also nice for the really annoying names that you just can't spell. I guess I was the only one who read that patch note...
Mar 15th 2008 4:14PM The naming TOS used to have a clause about ASCII characters (aka "characters with accent marks"), but it's no longer there. It's pretty irritating, since those characters are difficult and annoying to try to find. At least they recently changed it so you can copy-paste their names easier, which used to not be the case, so that might be part of why they changed that rule.
Mar 14th 2008 6:33PM Aww, boo, I had to log out before Drysc showed up. I was on for two hours of the stress test, but had to duck out for the final hour.
The puking would have been fun to see. D:
Mar 3rd 2008 6:09PM I always level up professions along with my characters, but then again I've never found it at all difficult to make money in WoW even when starting fresh. It's always way more of a hassle to pick up a craft late in the game and have to grind all the low-end crap than the extra money I might make. That, and I never have as much interest in characters unless they have "real" professions--if they're just gatherers, I never feel as motivated to level them.
Mar 2nd 2008 10:51AM Yep. I know I wasn't the only 300+ Engineer that was considering dropping the profession right before that change was made.
