World of Warcraft no longer compatible with Windows 2000 in Mists of Pandaria {WoW}

Jan 9th 2012 8:52PM Oh people did say Windows XP sucked. It was often referred as bloated, slow, and even a scheme to force people to upgrade from older hardware. A lot people insisted that Win95 was a better OS. It's true however that it got better with time and with newer hardware.

Lo and behold, it's 2012 Win7 has been out for a while and there are still people holding on to legacy OSes screaming at the top of their lungs exactly the same things.

And you know what? In the future, when Win999 becomes a reality, people will be holding onto Win998 like their lives depended on it and scream how much better it is than that bloated telepathic interface MS is forcing people onto with the new OS.

Breakfast Topic: "Blizzard's Horde bias" -- fact or delusion? {WoW}

Oct 26th 2011 9:19AM Well, what about Gilneas? Here I was so excited at the beginning of Cata. I start doing the Worgen quests, looking forward to meeting and learning about this "new" country... AND I find myself being shoved off the island like some meh Survivor episode.

I mean, an entire kingdom gets flushed out just like that? There must be like a couple of hundreds in an entire nation to fall that hard that fast. Must be that most of them died building the wall. :/

Oct 26th 2011 8:37AM Its is not that we don't like how the story is going so much as the story is weak and just doesn't make sense at times. We have established characters that follow a certain path of logic per the lore and when certain things happen they just sit twiddling their thumbs.

It is the equivalent of someone coming in, hit on your girlfriend/boyfriend, and you just sit there ignoring it when you are known (and proven to be) to be the jealous type. Just doesn't make much sense.

Yeah, yeah, odd analogy but you get the point.

Official Transmogrification preview {WoW}

Aug 17th 2011 8:19PM Oh, I so hope they take pity on poor humans and give us (and meybe the others too, but Im not greedy...) a good revamp. I want my mittens to be gone for good!

E3 2011: Hands-on impressions of Star Wars: The Old Republic {Massively}

Jun 15th 2011 2:25PM @Lovecraft Wasn't aware of your prodigious oracle powers. Usually when people try to predict the future they are full of it.

Now, going from reading actual previews from people that have sat down to play the game I see positive impressions pretty much everywhere. Tera's success or failure will come from how much effort they place into tweaking the game for western gamers. Whereas some people love the grind, most western gamers don't. This is where its Korean roots might hurt Tera. For once. The more action oriented combat is one aspect I am really looking forward to, either from Tera or GW2.

Coming back to the subject, I've got plenty of friends excited by this one. I wish I was too, but what I've seen is the same "let's play it safe" formula. I really hope it does good though. Even more after seeing that E3 trailer... if only.

The Lawbringer: No, you can't sue Blizzard over the Dance Studio {WoW}

May 27th 2011 4:18PM I agree to a point. I would LOVE to see a revamp for the character models and armor. The original races clash with the newer one and even more with the newer models for creatures in-game.

Actually seeing some of the equipment we are sporting instead of what we have now, patterned t-shirts and fancy shoulder pads (oh and wrestling belts), would go a long way to freshen the look of the game.

However, the common excuse that they should spend more time crafting content and balancing the game instead of on eye-candy feature is nonsensical to me just because those two activities are ALWAYS ongoing. Blizzard will never, EVER, stop balancing the game or developing content. It is what moves the game forward.

Even then, WoW is a very mature game. Blizzard is already developing the next MMO and that leads me to believe that they will milk the current look until the end. There will not be any revamping of armors (that they mention they want to do every Blizzcon) nor new character models.

I would love to be proven wrong come the next Blizzcon, but don't think it will ever happen.

"Fast patch" 4.1.0a patch notes {WoW}

May 5th 2011 9:22PM I've got the perfect reason for you, gnomish HOLOimaginarium room accident. They could even have another mini-boss named Mor Arty who was a training dummy inside the room and became sentient after the "accident". ;-)

Blizzard releases Cenarion Hatchling pet for Japan earthquake relief {WoW}

May 2nd 2011 4:34PM I happen to have the original but I am going to have twins tonight. Great idea Blizz and thanks for donating 100%!

In fact I hope they think too about donating at least part of the proceedings from that new flying lion mount coming down the pipeline. :)

Apr 26th 2011 3:26PM Armory features you say? Impossible! That would actually make it worthwhile (for those of us with no interest in the AH). Glad to hear!
