Mashing buttons can cause cooldown problems {WoW}

Nov 17th 2007 10:32PM Okay, how does this work then? You're in BG's and a rogue stuns you in whatever way from behind and another melee class it hitting you also. You're trying to cast any of the aoe fear abilites. The most obvious way is to just spam the key hoping to get a cast to go through. How do you follow GCD while being stunned and dazed under this new system? Feel free to flame, but would appreciate a simple explanation.

Oct 31st 2007 12:34AM How about a debuff for killing anyone that doesn't give honor? Say a 20% reduction is stats plus 1% for each lvl below Hk unless the attack was started by the opposing player?

I'm solid pvp, can't go back to a pve server and am willing to put up with the ganking for the added thrill. But 70's who can't pvp running around griefing non-honor giving players should be punished.

STV should be a place where factions fight ruthlessly, but it should be among like levels.

Oct 28th 2007 12:48AM Also,

@22. seriously who cares about 1v1, it gives you like 10-20 honor and its fucking useless.. arena is everything..

Spoken as one who doesn't fight unless he has a group of his friends standing behind him. I've beaten the shit out of several bullies like you.

Oct 28th 2007 12:43AM Wow. You are truly brave to be writing this column. I read your column and then scanned the table and all in all can understand what you meant. Of course it is very broad and general. But an intelligent start. As you said 1v1 is "the" root of all pvp. There is very little out there on this subject that isn't just flame wars. So again, you're brave and I hope thick skinned because I hope to be reading your column for a long time. gratz

Things to know about Patch 2.2 {WoW}

Sep 26th 2007 6:02AM And the excuse for the 1 hour delay is gold sellers... please.

By delaying the AH payoff they are artificially slowing the economy, which for one toon doesn't seem to matter that much, but spread over 9,000,000+ accounts that is a hell of a lot of money Blizz is skimming from the player base's monthly subscription fee. Smells like a con to me.

All the World's a Stage: And all the orcs and humans merely players {WoW}

Sep 24th 2007 10:59PM mmoRPG, I've never played on a RP server but I have always felt my toons had their own motivations and had their own qerks and behaviours. My allaince dwarf was crude but honorable and never killed without reason while my undead lock was a farmer who now sees himeself as a monster and hates everything living and with him I will click off a mob in battle to kill every lvl 1 yellow that wanders to close. And the best quest lines are the ones that involve you in a on going story line. Some people see Rp'ers as strange, but I don't see how you can play a RPG and not RP at least a little.

You got your RP in my PvP! You got your PvP in my RP! {WoW}

Sep 24th 2007 10:39PM If you're on a pvp server...etc. Unless of course you were just role playing ignorance then by all means role play indignation!

I still believe in Alterac Valley {WoW}

Sep 20th 2007 10:38PM @18 "Until they change that, no one good at PvP will enjoy it."

Everyone has their good days and bad moments but I would have to say I'm pretty good at pvp. And if you're good, playing in a large group of people who are as you say "not" good at pvp can be very uplifting. By you're logic the afk's are the "good" pvpers. I''ll agree...good for nothing

@19 "The funny thing is, everyone's terrible at PvP."

You're completely right.Can't wait to suck in a grand fashion with a large relentless group. Passionate amateurs FTW!

Although I'm not sure how you could show AV in a way that would be worth watching.

I still believe in Alterac Valley {WoW}

Sep 20th 2007 6:33PM AV was my introduction to pvp and it has become my favorite part of the game. I gave up my pve tank dwarf and am on my second pvp server horde. I still love AV winning is nice but nothing is better than a long drawn out battle. My favorite recently was over two hours could have made lots more honor else where, but as the allie was about to when the BG leader called for everyone to trinket back and fight in drek's room. The Horde, being that night at their best complied and we proceeded to fight toe to toe till we had reclaimed the map and pushed on to win. Haven't found that kind of feeling in any other part of the game.

Even as Horde I don't feel that the imbalances in the map have broken AV. It's the AFK's that can ruin it. I'm afraid Blizz's upcoming answer is not going to be enough. Hope it is, we'll see.

More player titles: denied {WoW}

Sep 20th 2007 3:05AM @4. Titles should stay the way they are...

"relatively meaningless badges of honor (or dishonor) that players would wear with pride" - aren't you basically describing a Tabard here?"

LOL, and playing this game for days on end has meaning?!! Thank you, that was the best laugh I have had in days
