Nov 30th 2011 8:03AM Using bank as a short-term storage system!
Nov 30th 2011 3:26AM Oh FFS kids, grow up. It's just a frickin trailer. Do we have to knitpick about everything Blizzard does lately? MoP is a very odd and slightly letting down of a concept for an xpac, but please let's not take it to far and bully the guys.
Oct 25th 2011 7:45PM Yeah, yeah. Out of those you mentioned I really just truly respect Twin Peaks anyway (at least until the murder was solved). So, please don't ever mention Twin Peaks in the same post as Fail of Lorecraft, again, thanks. :)
X Files is a case in point actually. A classic example of "we have something great, what do we do about it now?".
Oct 25th 2011 5:35PM Always can expect asinine replies on WoW Insider, I see.
All I'm saying, many things that seemed genious, were either just randomly thrown together like the most recent stuff, or it was quickly deemed "uncommercial" enough and tossed aside for generic crap.
Oct 25th 2011 4:41PM Lots of fanboyism in the article, sorry to say.
Metzen has always been weird and so far I have been gobbling up most of the things he said, always explaining the missing parts with the fact that I could not yet comprehend it or that his wisdom is so great and time will only tell, and shit like that.
The Lore panel at Blizzcon has proven just how broken and random the approach to lore has been. I'm not going to go into details, just read the transcript and see how it oozes: "We have no frickin idea what we are doing." It's either broken, or it's terribly driven by what market research says, completely forgoing coherency, tieing loose ends or just keeping the same "soul".
I stopped taking every one of this self-important's word as a word of a sage, and you should too, because, he isn't one.
Oct 24th 2011 3:14PM Leave him alone, you Nazis, pandas SUCK and we don't need to agree with you.
Go back to your Stockholm Syndrome now, TYVMKKTNXBAI
Oct 24th 2011 3:01PM To the writer of this article:
1. You are right about mystery
2. You are right about talent system
3. You are wrong about:
- the newness of the continent - so far it seems like nothing special, just a different color pallete and a few chinese characters here and there, but it's the same old forests, jungles, sprawling hills, mountains, grasslands etc. Maybe the detail is never before seen, but that was so in Cata as well, and everyone grew out of the whole graphical sheen quickly.
-lore- there is SO much more relevant and interesting lore left - Turalyon and Aleria, Azshara and the aftermath of the Vash'jr, Illidan's whereabouts, Titans' whereabouts, anything of this is ENDLESSLY more relevant, and more Warcraft than a April Fool's joke race. The impression is: Blizzard needed a filler expansion while they work on a "real" one. I just hope it's short.
- pandaren - sure, frickin lashers could suddenly become this really fleshed out race if developer's desire so. Would it be a good idea and would it seem like something to be excited about? Nah. Actually, lashers are more interesting than a Kung Fu Panda rip-off ;)
Jun 26th 2011 8:11AM My god, this is EXACTLY the article I was looking for, My oove for Arcane Brill has just grown hundredfold.
Sadly, I am in the "girlfriend gets it" kind of guild. Other than that it's a fabulous guild but this really is unfair and I have been looking into my guild choices for a few days. Of course, either way I'm kind of screwed because in a new guild i'll only be a recruit for awhile. :(
Still, awesome piece of writing to squeeze out any hope for Its Gloriousness of a Staff there is!
Apr 29th 2011 4:12PM I feel REALLy ecited about hearing all these news.
Then I think how everyone was REALLY excited with all the news on Cataclysm originally.
And how everyone has been having some mild to strong disappointments with Cata later.
I hope they really nail it though.
Just find it funny how people go berserk for a little info that gets released, immediately forgetting their imagined or not imagined gripes with the game now.
Apr 26th 2011 5:06PM Honey, who was complaining? I like the game as it is. I'm just saying the guy is a scriboman,
