Feb 12th 2008 1:43PM I'm exalted with the Skyguard, Ogrila and Netherwing. I earned lots of gold. Got my epic flying mount. Got bored. Now I only do dailies when I need quick, convenient cash...
Though with the new faction coming out, I'll probably do them till I hit exalted.
Feb 10th 2008 6:49PM Funnily enough, I'm on Kael'thas also. Glad to see there is more than one of us out there. On the whole, I've really enjoyed our server, and have met tons of great people there.
Hope to see you around!
Feb 9th 2008 6:31PM Druid Power!
But seriously, to echo the other posters here--how high was he flying to be able to pull that off? ? ? And if he was flying high enough to pull that off, how was he in range of the rogue? Doesn't quite add up unless he was using a parachute cloak of some sort. But even then, yeah. I don't quite buy it.
Feb 8th 2008 3:18PM Another great article.
Keep up the great work Matt!
Feb 4th 2008 5:59PM My 2 cents worth:
From my observations, if you read the forums where the alliance list their winning strategies for AV, it involves the horde not turtling at IBGY...
So when the Horde defend IBGY, Alliance looses. These new changes for 2.4 won't make much difference, since SHGY is not hidden behind a chokepoint cul-de-sac like IBGY is.
Further, though some people may call them welfare epics, especially now that you can buy them through honor points, I don't. Just consider how long it is going to take you to get together e.g. 27000 honor for a weapon when you are playing AV and getting 60 honor for a 1 hour game... IF that is what the welfare system were like in real life, the poor people would starve before they ever got any food....
Feb 1st 2008 2:50PM Thanks for answering my email Matt!
Jan 29th 2008 4:42PM I enjoy it, the games can be exhilarating and fun. Except when you have a game which drags out because one team sits in the room with their whole team guarding the flag, sending only one person out to recap their own flag, and the other team doesn't have enough dps to take down the flag carrier to recap it which would enable them to cap it themselves... I hate WSG turtles with a passion. Oh well.
It just makes you wonder though: They are aware of the problem, they are testing it, and they won't fix it "any time soon"? ? ? I hope that means that they are too busy coming up with 20 more capture the flag maps instead... not likely...
Jan 26th 2008 11:07AM Last night in a battleground I got effectively one shotted by a hunter. Since I'm wearing crafted epics/season 1 BG stuff, this doesn't happen that often. Not that I survive incredibly long, but I usually don't get one shotted like that. SO I alt-tabbed and armoried him. He was wearing full T6.... Oh well....
But in any case, as a druid, I usually don't get to one shot people, though occasionally I have "druid stun locked" someone to death. Now that is fun, but much much harder to do than on my rogue....

Doug, as Shroey said, if you look into Grid, you will find that there is a "range check" feature which grays out anybody not in range. I heal with it in the BGs as well, and it works quite nicely.
Jan 23rd 2008 5:24PM If I had to pick one addon, well, I couldn't. I'm kind of in the same boat as Phaelia, though not quite to the same extent.
One problem I have is that I have a lot of alts, and they each have their separate set of addons...
But if I had to choose just one addon to use, I would choose the threat-meter Omen.
If all else had to go, that is the one which helps keep groups going smoothly, so I would hang on to it. For most things the default interface is actually fairly serviceable, though I personally love customizing my entire interface...
Other addons that rank very highly on my list:
* itemrack (I play a druid, you need to swap gear)
*proximo for arenas
*archud to see my energy ticks in cat form
* bongos for custom bars
*deadly boss mods for timers
etc etc etc
the list goes on and on and on and....
