Season 1 Prices revisited as items go on sale tomorrow {WoW}

Nov 26th 2007 7:08PM Nah, no way, the marks are not the bottle neck here, it's the honor. I am sitting at 75000 honor and I have 100 AV, AB, EotS and 91 WSG. It's so much easier getting the marks than the points.

To gank, or not to gank, that is the question. {WoW}

Aug 14th 2007 5:38PM Honestly, coming from an MMO like UO pre-R, and then onto Shadowbane, I'm obviously coming from a background loving not just PvP in MMOs but also World and unexpected PvP.

World PvP is just insanely more fun than BGs or Arena. There is the whole using the environment around you, using the mobs to your advantage, jumping down a cliff to hide and heal and not knowing if you're going to die from the fall, etc.

But, Blizz and WoW doesn't really allow for much of that. So, the reason why I gank is to bring that World PvP to WoW. Me and some friends (~5 of us) usually find a place of low level (used to be Badlands, but now it's Hellfire) and start ganking the lowbies.

It must sound bad but we use it as a means to an end: the one thing you can count on in WoW whilst ganking lowbies is the fact that they will call friends. Lots of them. So we gank these lowbies to bring out the masses of 70's. We like the odds to be many against the few of us, since that is fun and how old school PvP used to be.

When we see 10-15 70's coming down to avenge their fallen lowbie brethren, we know it's going to be a good night.

Creating these ad hoc World PvP events is SO much better than the concocted World PvP events that Blizz created, since they are so much more memorable and honestly, each fight is never the same. I think that's the best part of World PvP: the fact that no fight is ever the same and the strats have to keep changing. And I think that's why the BGs and Arenas are really boring, since it's the same environs over and over again.

Hence, ganking = better for the game, since it creates geniune memories since they are never planned or the same.

Voice chat coming soon to the PTRs {WoW}

Jul 23rd 2007 4:54PM Honestly, the WoW chat system will be great for people who have no clue about vent/TS, but the robustness of your own server along with the customization of these servers will make them still dominate.

Your daily dose of questing {WoW}

Jul 11th 2007 1:39PM Is there a list of daily quests somewhere? I've been interested in doing some of them, but have no clue where to start.

Just a quick run down of where they are would be great.

Breakfast topic: Neatest land mount {WoW}

Jun 13th 2007 1:32PM Black War Raptor is the best. I plan on getting it once the PvP patch comes out and is revealed there are no good items to get. :)

Wanted: Dead or Alive {WoW}

Jun 12th 2007 1:37PM This is something that SHOULD be implemented but will NEVER be implemented by Blizzard.

UO was a bottom-up, self-policing game where you got what you deserved.

WoW is a top-down, "this is what you're supposed to do because we designed it like this" type of game that would never implement this, sadly.

I wish Blizz would open a FFA, hardcore server, like Siege Perilous was like for carebear UO. Where there were no crazy restrictions on your character.

THEN these bounties would be awesome.
