Nov 1st 2007 6:52AM The problem with this topic is that the warlock community skirts a very fine line between QQers and legitimate buffs/bug fixes. The fixes that are being asked for are not huge nor in anyway gamebreaking. Any high level arena lock will testify to their pet being the first target and in such a situation, the gear they have accumulated to make themselves less squishy (and the associated resilience) has no damage mitigation effect on their pet. Is this fair?
Nov 1st 2007 6:41AM Warlock pets need to scale with resilience and hit. For high-end raiders and pvpers the oversight here is ridiculous - for PvE players, resists on seduces happen all too often in heroics and and beyond, and for PvPers all that resilience means shit all for your pet when he's three shot by a warrior. Not to mention losing a pet significantly damages a demo lock's ability to function.
Some additional viability for demo felguard raiding would be nice - as mentioned above, avoidance as with hunter pets.
For most other purposes they scale fine. Most people in this thread are missing the point - hit and res is where its needed most. Oh and to anyone who is crying about this and warlocks in general - you are a vocal minority and getting very tiresome.
Oct 25th 2007 12:46AM I think the reluctance to give up brooms indicates a pretty large niche for a new small mount. My broom is such a welcome change from the behemoth screen real estate eater that is my netherdrake. The ground mount is also way more fun to ride around on than any of my other mounts and I'm convinced it isn't just the novelty factor. Reimplement brooms but with a more WoW-appropriate model imo, you've hit upon something good here Blizz.

I think it sounds quite reasonable. Maybe requiring an/a couple of expensive reagent(s) or a rare book drop from an instance to make the difficulty of getting it commensurate to the power and utility it brings to raids. Perhaps a nerf to 20% when used in a raid, anythings possible. No need to be such an asshole about it.

As for the rest of your comments... some extremely minor factual errors were made that didn't really undermine the purpose of the article - to educate shaman noobs such as myself. Seems this has brought out all the angsty anal retentives from the shaman forums, go troll the warlock forums or something.
