Aug 27th 2008 5:45AM No pots, only self-buffed, other than that pretty much anything goes - of course I'll heal (as I play a resto druid in pvp it would be stupid not to) and innervate and expect my oponent to bandage / eat if they manage to drop combat. Same with pally bubble, lock healthstone etc., anything that works in arenas I'll expect in a duel.
Jun 14th 2008 12:09PM On my shadow priest twink: lots and lots of "shadow wrath" greens until she was 58 and powerlevelling her enchanting so she could always have the best enchants on her gear.
On my lvl 13 warrior: runspeed enchant on boots, melee haste enchant on the bloodelf bandit mask.
Mar 17th 2008 7:35AM For feral tanks: hurricane pull! Just be careful to position it so the mobs have to run through it so they get more than just one tick, et voila, threat on every mob.
Mar 16th 2008 7:13AM I care about server progression - I don't necessarily know the firsts but I know which guilds are in which content, and who is most likely to down Ilidan. (small backwater RP server here ... )
Mar 14th 2008 6:11AM Well written and to the point. Thank you.
As a bear tank in a warrior-centric guild that's starting to progress into T5 content (yeah we're late to the party) I'm starting to feel more and more superfluous. It's a sad state of affairs when getting to tank a boss is a special perk. And being in a guild where the raid leader considers warriors the only "real" tanks doesn't help morale.
I understand the rationale of having the feral switch to DPS for boss fights since they output reasonably competitive damage compared to a prot warrior, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. Or respecing to heal. But when it comes down to raiding as a healer or not raiding at all, I'll respec and gnash my teeth, and browse the recruitment forum on the side.
Mar 8th 2008 5:34AM After many failed attempts, I finally managed to skill fishing from 250 to 375 by making that my late-night-activity and spending the time on TS with my guildies. Nothing like a good convo to keep the tedium away.
Mar 6th 2008 7:53AM Feral tank here, not happy at all about the change, I enjoy tanking when it's a challenge, not when I can just go on auto-pilot, swipe swipe swipe and tab-target for a mangle in between. Sure it'll make things easier, but it'll reward sloppy playing - mages who can't time their sheep, locks who dot everything in sight so they can be #1 on the damage chart ...
Feb 21st 2008 11:35AM Group quests, heroics, normal instances - I ask in the guild channel, and usually a group comes together rather quickly. Of course playing a tank makes it easy to find a group, and helping guildies out with their group and instance quests builds up a lot of "favors owed" over time. I try to avoid LFG unless we're one DPS short at an impossible time of the night (1am heroic runs ftw) - just had too many bad experiences with really clueless / badly behaved people there. Hint: if you're looking for repeat grouping, be polite, curteous and leave the potty mouth at home.
Feb 21st 2008 11:25AM If you read the comments on her posting, apparently it's too much work to get geared up to a level where she could decently tank or dps a heroic instance. It's all about getting epic flight form without the effort.
As a tank, I have run too many undergeared / clueless guild members through heroics and I have really lost patience with it. They want heroic rewards / badges, they better put in some effort - I don't enjoy running yet another heroic where I out-dps the "dps".
Feb 20th 2008 1:20PM I plan on picking up a set for an alternative spec to see how it plays in BGs and arenas.
