Breakfast topic: Best class rivalry {WoW}

Nov 16th 2007 4:53PM "For a start, most destro locks barely touch shadowbolt"
OK, I guess I am a little confused, I think we are talking about 2 different things. I was talking about raiding, and I believe you must be talking about PVP or something. There aren't too many fire destro raid locks out there, as it is less dps. As for the joke about flipping burgers - try sticking to the subject as you don't know anything about me or my career. Go look up WWS stats for some top guilds and look at what their destro locks are casting.

Breakfast topic: Best class rivalry {WoW}

Nov 16th 2007 11:12AM Who raids as SL/SL?
How is affliction less boring than Destro SB spam? I personally find affliction pretty darn interesting for raiding, there is an art to trying to keep 5 DoTs up, dark pact, lifetap, shadowbolt, and trinketing while being aware of your surroundings.

If you just like seeing the big numbers, that's cool. I personnally would get bored just hitting one button over and over.

The mage/lock rivalry is definitely the nastiest. I do think that in a fight that is just straight up stand and dps, a mage should win - or be equal to a destro lock. Destro may be able to lifetap, but it is pretty inefficiently and they use a lot of mana. Affliction falls behind in endgame due to poor gear itemization and coeffecients. They need to make affliction the debuff spec it is supposed to be.

From a PVP perspective, Locks have the advantage because they are supposed to. A good ice mage can be damn tough to kill. I really fail to see the problem. Every class has at least a couple other classes that give them fits.

Forum post of the day: Insta-cast Corruption {WoW}

Nov 9th 2007 10:16AM Even if they made corruption instant, it would just add more power to destro specced end-game locks, while making affliction locks in end-game even more irrelevant. The problem lies in the coefficients and gear itemization. Blizzard needs to have 2 sets of gear, one for affliction, one for destro and have affliction scale better with gear for end-game.

I agree that it is kind of wrong though to have to spend 5 talent points to make a spell instant when the coefficients are at an instant level already. My answer though would be to fix to coefficients.

Motes of shadow, and their drop rate. {WoW}

Jul 27th 2007 8:00AM Primal has gone up somewhat on my server but is still very cheap. I think some of it is demand. The reason primal fire is so expensive is because it is used in so many crafting patterns. Also, there just aren't very many good places to farm fire. I see no problem with shadow. It's fire I have issues with. Just add another place where we can grind them plz....
