Oct 28th 2008 4:50PM I'm not an industrial engineer, nor do I play one on TV. However, I can see how the manufacturing process could have changed. A new technique to calibrate, a new component to replace a defective one, a new production method can all improve the end product.
For instance, all would agree that the new Xbox 360s are less prone to red rings than the earlier production ones.

Sep 18th 2008 11:03AM Interesting, I never considered rental or resale values, considering I buy all of my games and keep them. However, I think you would agree that DLC is the far better choice for those who own the games.
Customers can pick and choose which songs they want, don't need to replace the disc and restart the game to get the song they want, and there are a larger variety of artists and music to play.
I would also argue that your experience is in the distinct minority of people who play rhythm games, but do not have the numbers to back it up.
Sep 18th 2008 11:00AM Fascinating. I never thought about it being good for resale/renting. However, I think you would agree that for the people who actually own the games, DLC is a far better choice.
You get to pick and choose the songs you want, you don't have to switch between games to get to the song you want to play, and it provides more variety in the music and artists.
I'd argue that your experience is the minority among those who play Rock Band/Guitar Hero, but I don't have numbers handy to prove it.

In worlwide sales, the GameBoy in all its iterations since the original, the GameBoy has outsold all the iterations of the iPod.
Jul 29th 2008 10:05AM I played through Heavenly Sword... There's a whole heck of a lot of internal dialogue in that game.
Reminds me of the Futurama quote: "Your lyrics lack subtlety! You can't just sing what you're feeling; that makes me angry!"
