Dec 28th 2008 10:57PM So I just hit 80 today! I started doing 25man Obsidian Sanctum and all was fine, I walked in and was getting about 25 - 30 frames per second, pretty normal for my setup (XP, 2GB, GeForce 8600GTS, 1680 x 1050) . But as soon as I entered combat I dropped down to 3 frames and it got so choppy, while I was able to still progress through the raid it was very painful. I raiding a lot in BC and never noticed any of this. I know Northrend is much more graphics heavy and raiding with 25ppl also affects it, but this seems a little ridiculous since everything is so stable until I get into combat.
So I was wondering if there was any way to "optimize" my system settings for raiding, hopefully increase my frames while in combat? I'm not looking for hardware upgrades or anything, just some knob I can tweak to increase my performance. Ideally with little to no decrease in graphics quality.
