Breakfast Topic: Should raid progression even be tracked anymore? {WoW}

Dec 4th 2008 12:36PM Well that was a whiny post.
I'm not gonna say that the writers should avoid posting their own opinions, but that was not you saying that 'I am not in favour of 25-man raiding'. That was just a stupid QQ, is this really what WoW insider has become.
Is it just me or were the posts on WoW insider a lot better in the past?

Sensory Overload {WoW}

Nov 15th 2008 6:56PM Northrend surpassed all my expectations. Everything looks fantastic, and Howling Fjord is simply beautiful in places.
I found myself gaping as I came in on the ship from Menethil, and as I climbed up the cliffs, and stood watching the Northern Lights with Utgarde towering above me, I felt a real sense of tranquility... which was soon shattered by the ram which charged me. But either way, the attention to detail is really good.
The world seems far more alive than it used to as well.

Death Knights receive unique voices {WoW}

Aug 30th 2008 7:40PM I think male Draenei sounded pretty good... but would be nice if they did something better than just edit the current files.

Breakfast Topic: Favorite Outland zone {WoW}

Aug 10th 2008 9:55PM I never liked Hellfire, Shadowmoon or Netherstorm. They are too barren and the lack of trees annoys me.
My favourite has to be Terokkar Forest, I love the general feel of it, it's so beautiful to look at, I always liked the music for it aswell.
But on the whole, Azeroth wins in Zone ambience and looks. Outland has cool areas, but it was too alien and sci-fi for my liking. I prefer the more natural feel of Azeroth Zones such as Loch Modan, I think they call it Gothic Fantasy or something.

Forum post of the day: Flying mounts in the old world {WoW}

Mar 23rd 2008 7:54AM I have heard so many people whining before in guild and on the Internet about the lack of flying mounts in Azeroth and blaming Blizz for being lazy, but I seriously can see why they cannot do it easily. A massive amount Azeroth is unrendered, textured, with many flaws. They would have to redesign nearly all the areas in places, and this would take up a huge chunk of their time. I would rather let them keep working on WotLK instead of redesiging.
And yes even if we did get flying mounts in Azeroth, what would we actually do with them? Sure we would be able to see all those old zones at once and maybe do a bit of ganking, but there is nothing flying mount specific. I'm quite happy on my ground Epic mount in Azeroth for the moment.
