Jun 29th 2009 6:00PM WoW, how else will you change to not be like your old self?
It's fine, you can keep making your money from people without the memories, and I can miss you that much less.
Jun 19th 2009 11:56AM This will definitely be awesome for twinking. But old world raiding, I am a little confused.
People who want to be capped at raiding old world content at the appropriate level and appropriate gear are predominantly the nostalgic crowd, right? I understand how turning off experience gain will, for the most part, keep overpowered gear and newer skills out of the equation. But what about the re-tuning of all game mechanics? Talent trees have been cut, pasted, squished, stretched, and stapled back together quite a bit even before TBC came out, and all the changes were made to be balanced at higher levels than 60. Also, with the inclusion of Death Knights, unless you just want to experience the "level appropriateness" and the old school grinds, old world raiding will be completely different from what it used to be.
So, my questions are: If it's the nostalgic crowd who are interested in old world raid content, but the experience is now very different, is this change exciting the nostalgic crowd? Or is this more exciting to a new generation of WoW players who missed out on old world raiding in its original state but are getting bored with the new content so quickly that they want to run old content at a "challenging" level?
