Jul 24th 2008 6:42AM I'd complete the 5-man. Sorry dudes, you had your chance, and you missed. If you wanted me aboard, you could've told me earlier. You didn't, your loss. Have fun wiping with some retard from LFG who - as corny as it might be - thinks green is the new purple.
Jul 23rd 2008 7:02PM They're adding in an achievement for the Bloodsail Buccaneers faction. For those of you not in the know, it's the faction you lose rep with every time you do a quest in Booty Bay. They give you an entire pirate outfit once you've hit exalted (awesome red parrot included), but there's a catch: no quests, no dungeons, just straight-up mob grinding. What mobs, you ask?
Booty Bay Bruisers. Thousands of 'em.
Needless to say, it's a horrible grind, comparable to the Winterspring Frostsaber. (Which, interestingly enough, isn't a Feat of Strength, while this is.) The nice thing about it is the "flavor text", or whatever you want to call it:
Obtain the Bloodsail Admiral's Hat... and try to get some fresh air every now and then.
P.S.: They're still keeping some stuff secret: http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?achievement=456
Jul 17th 2008 6:20AM This kind of attitude is exactly why you'll never see past the front door of Karazhan.
'but why was i ninjaing when i rolled on the healer cloak? it has +spelldmg on it so its perfect for mages, amirite? dont tell me what to do, it's my business to determine what i wanna do with an item!'
Jul 16th 2008 6:25AM This man has a grand understanding of what goes on in Europe. I dare say he knows us better than most of us know ourselves. Indeed, we all would do well to take an example of this gentleman and learn French, because -obviously- it's just Europeans who don't know the difference between Rogue and Rouge.
Jun 30th 2008 2:13PM Yeah, that's the exact same thing I was thinking of. He indeed grinded up around Kara so he could do all the quests and get loads of gold for his little sister's epic flyer.
Jun 19th 2008 5:42PM To be quite honest, I think you're absolutely wrong. Comparing pre-TBC bags with what we currently (2.4.2) have, we've only gone up by 2 slots: from (for example) Onyxia Hide Backpacks to Primal Mooncloth Bags. At most, we'd be moving up another two (from 22 to 24), with the 24-bags having another pretty high-end or time-intensive requirement.
What's more, Blizzard seems to be moving away from giving you ever more items to tend with (which is *almost* always a good idea) by homogenising equipment in Wrath. (Which, for the record, is an incredibly stupid idea.) The logical result would be people requiring less slots for items because they carry less equips, meaning that you really don't need those extra x slots for new stuff. If anything, I can imagine that Blizz is going to make 20- and 22-slot bags more accessible for players, but to simply raise the bar to 24+ slots would be kinda futile, imo. Plus, contending with 112 potential items at the same time seems little short of madness to me - not to mention what could happen at your bank.
I'm not saying we should all run out and dish out 1200 gold for a marginal upgrade like this, but hey, I'm just saying that it would seem likely to me that this is one upgrade that'll last you pretty damn far into the expansion.
Jun 2nd 2008 2:45PM Grats to them, but wasn't 2.4 released in China with all the SP gates already open?
Jun 2nd 2008 2:32PM Rogues are popular.
Blood Elves are damn popular. (IM LEGOLAS DURRRRR)
Blood Elf + Rogue = more subscriptions.
May 31st 2008 5:18PM Eh, it's a nice recreation of the second OP, I'll give it that, but as far as a stand-alone machinima goes, it's pretty basic. It's all just WMV work with some special effects thrown in from some movie editing program.
May 17th 2008 4:18PM Holy hell, that's a wall of text...
But still a well-written and smart comment.
