PAX East: Podcasting (f)or PR {Joystiq}

Mar 31st 2010 7:52AM Is there a recording of this that wasn't recorded on someone's phone in their pocket?

Steam has Assassin's Creed, Splinter Cell, Double Agent 50% off until June 5 {Joystiq}

Jun 6th 2009 2:43AM I was always a big fan of the Splinter Cell series and played them all on PC. Double Agent, which I bought as with all the others, was a terrible port made for console first and never truly remade for PC. It is VERY buggy, crashing my machine out to desktop and in some cases forcing a hard reset by completely locking up my system, several times *per mission*. On the other hand, some people experienced fewer issues, the rare person experienced none. I think it's a symptom of being a console-made game where, mostly, the hardware in use is uniform, and they built very poor support for the range of machines out in PC land.

So it's less of a risk at $5 (or £4.99 in the UK - *ahem* that's about $8 equivalent - **** you Valve :p) but it's still definitely a risk, especially as it's not rated at all for up to date hardware, let alone failing on older stuff.

Sep 29th 2007 11:39PM "So it seems Blizzard treats other hardware vendors the same way they treat their own players"

*massive eye-roll*
I know it's the done thing for WoW-related public figures (I'm covering written, audio and video media here, from unknown to well known - don't think I think of you as special) to complain about EVERY last little thing that happens in or around the game, but how about bucking the trend and trying to be a little more original with your unprovable blanket assumptions please.

Of course, since he plays a lot of Wii, DS and does a Nintendo based podcast among others, it couldn't just be that he's a fan drawing things he loves. You and others like you need to cheer up.
