Spiritual Guidance: Shadow priest glyph shopping for 4.0.1 and Cataclysm {WoW}

Oct 6th 2010 5:59PM When I copied my character to the PTR, my current glyphs were remembered so it looks that's what will happen when 4.0.1 drops.

How would you change HTC's EVO 4G? {Engadget}

Jul 24th 2010 1:23PM 4G even in Seattle sucks. It has a very limited footprint not to mention you will burn through your already tragic battery in no time if you keep that radio on.

Radio Shack taking EVO 4G preorders for $50 deposit, will toss in $20 for accessories {Engadget}

May 14th 2010 7:34PM @hated one

It probably will sell millions. Won't be 4G on AT&T however. Maybe 3.5G? They'll probably have to call it iPhone HD even though the Evo has a much better screen and records/plays/outputs HD content.

Apple under preliminary antitrust investigation over iPhone, triggered by complaint from Adobe {Engadget}

I don't think 25% of a subset of all phones qualifies as "dominant". Apple has about 5% share of all phones sold in the U.S. and 25% of smartphones.

The Anvil of Crom: AoC community guide {Massively}

Apr 4th 2010 1:39AM I started the trial recently as well as some others here. I really want to like it and keep playing but there are already quite a few nagging issues that keep me from enjoying it. Doesn't work with more than two mouse buttons, turning on shadows kills FPS, and unable to adjust mouse sensitivity are big ones for me. In fact, the game engine really needs some optimization. I can run LoTRO at 60fps with everything turned up yet I only get about 30fps on Medium without shadows on in AoC. Something's wrong with that.

HP Envy 15 shipping for $950 after rebate {Engadget}

Mar 31st 2010 12:43PM I bought this two months ago for about $1200 with the HD screen, i7 and 320GB drive. This is a very good deal on this laptop. Fast as lightning, USB 3.0, great graphics, and as portable as a MBP (except a bit wider). Snatch this up quick!

Switched On: Courier courts the creative {Engadget}

1) Portability
2) Multitasking
3) Readability (2 pages at once)
4) Durability (screens are safe when closed)

TERA unleashes trailer on the masses {Massively}

Mar 26th 2010 1:50PM World looks great. Might only be playable by 12 year olds with very low latency connections. There's a reason why all MMOs so far have been target based. If the server can't keep up with player location and hit mechanics, you're going to miss a whole helluva lot.

Also, yes, the female models look way ridiculous. I know that's the Eastern way, but seriously? Girl needs to put a robe on. Or at least bring some balance by having some male Warriors in mankinis.

Microsoft shows off XNA games running on Windows Phone, full 3D is a go {Engadget}

Mar 10th 2010 4:59PM It's interesting to see Microsoft bring Java's philosophy to 3D gaming. Write once, run anywhere with games is pretty impressive.

Palm boss Rubinstein sends letter to employees, talks turnaround {Engadget}

Feb 26th 2010 2:20PM So many missteps:

1) No SDK for months after launch = no apps. Devs already have iPhone, BB and Android to think about.
2) Poor availability at launch. Saw many people casually walk into a Sprint store and inquire about a Pre and were turned away.
3) Low quality hardware compared to other offerings at the same price point. Pre and Droid/iPhone are night and day in terms of performance and quality.
4) Lame advertising. Just show what the phone can do, don't preach some zen BS.
5) Trying to usurp iTunes in order to sync to the Pre instead of developing or leveraging your own solution. Just looked desperate and cheap.
6) Lackluster Pre Plus launch.
