Will WoW ever have a 'DPS to heal' model? {WoW}

Mar 10th 2010 9:05PM wtf... seems like the comments cut to the "smaller than" mark.... lets try that 3rd time.

As a sidenote, Enha spec with resto gear (+weapon in offhand) is really fun and efficient as a heroic healer... your dps is low (less than 1k easily), but the instant heals with 4.5k+ SP (enha talents; dualwield Earthliving, 30% of AP to SP) are way more than enough to keep up your party through almost any HC. If Maelstrom isn't stacking quick enough, casted heals will do it anyway. I won't suggest you to try it in HoR, but have fun in other HCs :P

Mar 10th 2010 9:04PM I wonder what happened to the rest of the post... it's here:

Mar 10th 2010 9:02PM ...Enhancement Shaman, anyone?

It's really the closest to "damage to heal"-model in the game atm. I've been healing heroics as enha many times now, mostly with our guild's overgeared protadin, but also done it with PuG tanks including warriors (they just need to be slightly overgeared for HCs, but most of them are nowadays anyway). I just keep hitting stuff to build up Maelstrom, and keep the group up with instant heals. Note that I'm also using enha gear for this, so my DPS is also really good while healing, maybe 10-15% less than what i'd be doing with all-out dps.

Ensidia temporarily banned for exploits {WoW}

Feb 4th 2010 11:25AM "Saronite Bombs are NOT something any raider is going to start dropping during a raid boss UNLESS it's doing something abnormal. They had to go out of their way and out of their normal rotations/stratgies in order to exploit a bug."

I am using Saronite Bombs in between my other spells (they aren't on global cd) when fighting a tough boss just to get that 0.2% more dmg done. If Saronite Bombs would cause a bug like that and I were not aware of what's causing the bug, of course I would keep using the bombs, as I would do on other bosses also.

So... They really did not need to "go out of their way and out of their normal rotations/strategies" here, they just played normally and it bugged. It is really lame to see anyone getting banned for a bug like that, it was just Blizzard's fault to let that bug through. At maximum Ensidia should've got their items/achis removed and ICC25 reseted with only Arthas alive, because they did kill it with easier gameplay than it was planned to be, but they should get another try and no ban. Imo.

Totem Talk: Return of the Orc {WoW}

Sep 14th 2009 6:25AM Hmm. Maybe I should stop replying in the middle of the night when tired... I'm just so fed up with people whining about enha pvp so I see them even when they're not whining about it. Sorry about that :P

Sep 13th 2009 8:31PM "...Swiftarrow PvP set"

That's a level 78 gear. Did you really think you'll get anything done with a lvl 78 (ilvl 187) gear against people running in ilvl 226+ pvp gear? or even 245? You can't be serious.

I'm playing in full Deadly set with Furious parts in between (everything buyable from WG and honor), and I'm doing more than well. Even winning a 2v1 situation against different classes isn't a rare sight (though it'll require some luck and cooldowns, as always in 2v1 situations). Rogues are difficult - yet not impossible - but against almost any other class when going 1v1 I have a big chance to win.

Save the world and get some gear before you start whining about enha sucking in pvp.

World of Warcraft Patch 3.2 Shaman Guide {WoW}

Aug 4th 2009 9:22PM Was wondering the same... Where's Thrall? Oh wait, maybe he's on his way to facepwn Matthew Rossi for not using an orc or tauren (or even a troll, omg).

For some reason it seems to me that most shaman topics on wow.com has a draenei picture. Is it just because the writers like the model of draeneis? Or maybe because they play alliance? Personally I don't even like how draeneis look, but that's just me. Anyways, I'd really love to see the original shaman race sometime. I also know im not the only one.

P.S. Do not take this too seriously, I'm just wondering :P

Jul 2nd 2009 11:16PM First of all, Primal Tenacity works only in cat form. Read the tooltip.

Second, damage reduction does not stack that way. Lets say you have armor equal to 60% damage reduction. When you pop Barkskin, it does not go up to 80% dmg reduced.
As 60% dmg reduce means 40% dmg taken, Barkskin will reduce your dmg taken by 20%, so it will end up at 40%*0.8 = 32% dmg taken, meaning 68% damage reduction.

Same in numbers: A mob hits you for 1000, but your armor reduces it by 600. You end up taking 400 damage. Barkskin reduces damage taken by 20%, so its 400 - 20% = 320 dmg taken.
