Dec 19th 2011 5:22PM Have always wanted one. Never been able to afford one. Gief?
Dec 12th 2011 12:13PM I know at least one WI staffer who has a full time "day job" as well. Some of the "higher ups", the longstanding editors and such, may be able to make a living from it but the bulk of columnists and such don't.
Nov 25th 2011 2:35PM Yeah, Blizz asked nicely and got the username away from him for actual Chris Metzen. The parody one is at @CoolChrisMetzen now.
Oct 6th 2011 2:51PM Blizzard takes a financial loss every single year on BlizzCon. It is literally a money pit that they only put on for goodwill and to have fun with their fans. To move it anywhere but down the block from their house would probably be impossible. :/
Oct 5th 2011 9:03PM Several expansions' worth of epic-looking gear takes up more room than you'd think. I still have full tiers 1, 4, 8, 10 and 11 sitting in my bank, and I'll probably want to save my 12. Plus a lot of funny holiday outfits and such.
Basically I'm going to use Void Storage for out-of-date gear and vanity items, and use my bank for things like crafting and enchanting materials and consumables that I use on a super regular basis.
Jul 26th 2011 8:15PM I'm gonna go WAY the hell out on a limb here and say "mechanism to opt out of new thing and go back to old thing" is probably going to be a good deal easier and quicker to implement than "brand-new feature that nothing else the game is remotely like".
Jul 23rd 2011 8:40PM I contend that if the roles had been reversed, Arthas would have been just as weepy while trying to defeat the Lich Queen.
The only point I thought was over the top was the part after the Deathbringer fight (and I didn't even see that firsthand since I don't raid Alliance side).
Jul 23rd 2011 8:31PM I could not be more thrilled that Golden is writing Jaina.
She's got SUCH a badass backstory, and is so clearly a powerful and competent character, who's been completely swept under the rug in WoW just because there were bigger stories to be told.* She's one of, if not THE most powerful sorcerer living on Azeroth today, with the possible exception of the remaining members of the Council of Six. Y'all caught the part in The Shattering where she saved Theramore from flooding during the Cataclysm by freaking channeling Dragon's Breath at the incoming tidal waves FOR FORTY-EIGHT HOURS, right? While still running around organizing evacuation efforts and helping survivors?
Homegirl is way more amazing than this game has given her credit for and I cannot wait to see her get the chance to show it. Even if I do still wish Christie was writing that rumored novel about Draka.
*Yes, she got weepy and emo during ICC. Her former beloved turned into a creature of insane evil and had to be killed before he destroyed the planet. That is a perfectly reasonable catalyst for some tears, alright?
Jul 21st 2011 4:59PM My troll hunter keeps Danath's copper coin in her bags as a good luck charm.
Jul 8th 2011 4:01AM If you were waiting in line outside before the con opened up, it may have been me, since we roomed together. XD At any rate, I know Kissless wasn't there last year, because I would have been forcibly introduced to her!
