Nov 23rd 2009 2:50PM Want!
Jan 23rd 2008 10:32AM It took a long time for my mail to load. Sold a bunch of things on the auction house and had totally blank letters waiting for me in my inbox. I could get my gold, but the unsold ones had "no attachments" for a few minutes until they finally loaded.
Jan 10th 2008 5:05PM To be honest, I don't find these recipes all that appealing, but the comparison between two-saucepan double boiling and the "I just arrived in the Outland and look like a clown" effect made me lol.
Nov 7th 2007 9:30AM On Skullcrusher it's Axe of the Deep Woods. And I had no idea every damn server did this.
Oct 31st 2007 10:58AM I'm doing NaNo this year too - in fact, I'm taking a prolonged break from WoW to do it (and many other things). Not writing anything WoW-related, but I am definitely having a WoW-playing character. Maybe I can beef up my word count with elaborate descriptions of in-game events ^^
Oct 26th 2007 4:49PM I think they hit the nail on the head with "enthrallment." Such a better term and definition than "addiction" - while some of the more extreme players may be genuinely addicted, I think "enthrallment" applies much better to the majority of people who are called (or call themselves) "addicted."
Oct 10th 2007 5:47PM Once, when I was playing with my boyfriend, his character's drowned corpse (I don't think he died in the water, but he was in that dangling pose for some reason) ZOOMED at epic-flying-mount speed all around the area, skimming across a pond and bouncing over fences and everything. Freakiest thing I've ever seen in the game.
Sep 28th 2007 4:53PM Isn't there also that quest line that you can't complete unless you're draenei? I leveled a human rogue there and that was kind of a disappointment, unless I was doing something wrong.
Sep 6th 2007 3:49PM No, I'd prefer people just assume my male tauren is played by a guy and not give me any shit.
Sep 6th 2007 10:15AM The article was talking about how WoW allows you to get to know someone as a player, which might give you insight into them as a person, that you wouldn't get from casual dating... or what they advertise about themselves on Facebook or Myspace. And I suppose it cuts both ways - I didn't meet my boyfriend through WoW (he introduced me to it) but if I had seen what he was like as a player before hand I might not have gone out with him. :X Fortunately nobody worth dating spends 100% of their life in Azeroth.
