Google and dozens of Android purveyors slapped with trademark lawsuit {Engadget}

May 1st 2009 3:18PM Ok so why do we allow companies to trademark single words. The word android has been around longer than either party so why do we let people claim dibs. If they had invented the word android that would be one thing. And it would be one thing to say "Android OS" is a trademark or "Android LLC" etc but this is BS. Now if google ripped of their robot logo and directly ripped of the name that would be one thing but this is silly.

Apr 9th 2009 5:14PM Ok now bring on the controller addons for the iPhone a proper dpad could be nice for some games. Would make games like Street fighter 2 possible. And some classics like pacman easier to control.

Amazon selling Xbox Live Arcade game codes {Joystiq}

Apr 8th 2009 4:45PM Cool but looking at the catalog there are some pricing issues I think. One Geometry wars and Gauntlet are 10 bucks instead of 5.

Why too many currencies actually helps progression {WoW}

Mar 6th 2009 12:23PM The only issue I see with this is that it makes some content less desireable too quickly. The badges in BC kept people that were raiding the end game stuff still doing heroics. But now what does a heroic offer you if you are decked out in the best gear short of some achievements which many have those already too. I had some raid heavy friends who didnt want anything of the lesser badges shortly after hitting 80. The ease of entry into Naxx really didnt help things either. I respect the desire to make people progress through the content, but keeping the content valid and making sure there enough people doing it is good too.

Player reactions to dual specs {WoW}

Feb 27th 2009 6:44PM I personnally think this will add tons of depth to the the game and I hear people hear worrying about how some class is now going to be rolling on 2 sets and how pure classes are going to lose there viability and I dont think either are the case.

As for loot most Raids aka the place people are more likely to switch anyway have loot rules be that raid dkp or other rules such as having to pass on item if you got an item( was in a nax the other day that allowed you to roll on 2 purples a night once you one 2 you had to pass but those were the rules and kept people from just taking everything). So if I am half dps/half tank and i want to spend my DKP for working as hard as the next guy then they the haters can suck it.

I think alot of pure classes are going to be switching in raids too, we need a frost mage to do some for frost aoe kiting etc and then we need a arcane mage for slow. And similar for other classes ok we need you demonoligy for this fight ETC ETC ETC....

CC did used to give alot of the pure classes purpose and even preferencial spots as DPS. I think blizzard is going to do something to keep the need up for them but it will probably be in the form of buffs like replenish if current trends are to remain. I would like to see at least a little CC return to the game.

Raid Rx: 3 steps to assigning healing roles {WoW}

Feb 27th 2009 5:32PM And I know one solution is not to let yourself get in those situations you need a panic button and it can limit the tank on some group buffs for a situational ability.

Raid Rx: 3 steps to assigning healing roles {WoW}

Feb 27th 2009 5:29PM The whole asking to be in the same group as the tank bothers me a little. Now correct me if this is wrong but wouldnt a healing being in the group with tanks be good especially if that healer is a druid. I am a bit new to 80 healing(healed to 60 changed feral for BC came back to prepare for 3.1) but I am speaking of tranquilitya group aoe that procs every 2 seconds does appear affected by haste but heals 5 targets for around 16000 to 20000 health with no aggro and a 4 min cooldown thanks to 2 measley talent points. It is similar healing to nourish /regrowth at least from what I have seen but on all targets in the group at the same time so it is a great emergency heal. Such as you the healer are about to die but you cant let off healing the tank/tanks, solution heal both.

Shifting Perspectives: The dual-specced Druid part 2 {WoW}

Feb 18th 2009 11:49AM Hard to beat a feral tank build for a lot of the grinds for most of the daily quest I will just agro 8 or so mobs at a time. I generally get all my keys on the scaret onslaught island on the steps to the keep after I have aggroed nearly all the mobs then aoe them down. The oracle daily to attack the feralhearts gets pretty crazy too, I can nearly get all my kills in a never ending pull. Never tried this as a Boomkin there AOE would definately beat mine though the damage they would take would be higher too.

I am going to to do the resto/bear build myself but I want to do boomkin ready for tripple specs and dual specs are not even out yet :p
