Maintenance day loot from WoW.com {WoW}

Mar 16th 2010 9:23AM Screw the rules, I'm pretty sure they know to run it on master loot so they can give it to whomever they feel like :)

Breakfast Topic: Favorite names {WoW}

Mar 9th 2010 11:23AM There was a guy I went to high school with named Bran (one "n" though)... Middle name was Nightrain... no one named Garrosh though.

Insider Trader: Most popular crafter gear on the Armory {WoW}

Jan 29th 2010 5:10PM True, the market on your server is the most important thing, but sites like these make a valuable contribution by pointing out broad trends which you may not readily recognize from your AH addon of choice's database. As always, your mileage may vary and you should do your own research too, but generally these give people a good idea of where to start looking.

I certainly don't take issue with the content of this piece in general. For the most part I found it useful. I merely wanted to point out one particular point of analysis that I felt could bear a bit more research.

Insider Trader: Most popular crafter gear on the Armory {WoW}

Jan 29th 2010 2:27PM Hrm... not sure if I agree too much with the inscription list. Since most of those that are listed are minor glyphs which tend to be an area where each class really has few choices that have any real usefulness. Therefore (as a dual-specced mage) I find myself putting the same minor glyphs in no matter what spec I choose, and consequently only ever needing to purchase the two sets. Once those have been purchased (looking specifically at levitate) for that character, no amount of respecs will ever make me need to buy one again. This may not be universally true, but judging by the fact that they all seem like very similar glyphs, I'm going to guess that it will hold.

What effect does the Dungeon Finder have on smaller servers? {WoW}

Jan 19th 2010 11:25PM I can't help but agree. For those of us on a severely underpopulated server (or even a lopsided one), there are all sorts of disadvantages. Now, I'd never advocate putting us all on huge realms with queues and everything, but a little consolidation to bring us up to medium status and perhaps bring a bit of stability to the economies and a bit more activity to /2 would be nice.

The Queue: In which protection paladins really aren't that great {WoW}

Jan 13th 2010 2:30PM That's certainly the case on my server as well. No one (and I mean no one, I've checked frequently to see if anyone was queued for anything) uses the LFR tool on my server. LFR could have really helped, but the hiding it away and the exclusivity make it pointless to even bother using it because it takes a certain critical mass of people using it before it becomes useful. Without 10/25/40 people using the tool, then all that you're doing is sitting there *not* getting the rewards that you could get by being queued elsewhere. /2 between dungeons is still how things get done as far as I can tell.

The Queue: Now or later {WoW}

Jan 12th 2010 10:17PM My wife levelled a prot warrior, with me levelling a holy pally. Everything took forever to kill, but we could take on 5 things at once, and do quests that were 5-man and several levels higher than us. It was nice to see the end of some of those ridiculous quest chains and actually be able to do them (like Azshara and Blasted Lands). Tons of fun.

White and longer than your average cloak {WoW}

Jan 8th 2010 5:55PM I don't have this cloak, so I'm just going on rumors and speculation, but I am lead to believe that it may be of a light, almost whitish color, and may in fact exceed the average cloak length. Again, nothing solid.

Breakfast Topic: Healers are the drummers of WoW {WoW}

Jan 7th 2010 8:50AM /tangent I don't know what drummers you guys know, but I don't think that I've ever seen a drummer who was quiet or would ever let anyone fail to notice them. The drummers I know are prone to all the exact kind of "look-at-me" attention whoring that we are attributing to the other roles.
