Dec 28th 2010 6:07PM Great article, Sacco.
I have caught myself acting the ass on a few occasions over the past many years, too. I think we're all a little guilty of (and maybe even completely satisfied with) the snide remark in Trade every now and again. Thankfully, it has been rare, and I normally make sure to remain as helpful as possible.
It has paid off, too. Literally ... kind of.
A number of acquaintances that I have made over the years have quit. And when they did, they were quick to remind me of what I thought was the smallest and most-insignificant act of kindness. Five thousand gold here, 100k there -- when their gifts sprung out of my inbox, I was reminded of just how much our brief interactions can mean to one another.
As a behaviorist, I can understand why jackasses act the way that they do. But I appreciate even more the player who doesn't have to do a damn thing, and yet, still does.
Kudos to those of you who are the latter. GG.
Dec 23rd 2010 8:08PM ladeez got it right, almost. ;)
Corruption should be in your rotation. It has a higher aDPCT than Incinerate and that is especially so when talented and under the effect of Improved Soul Fire.
Also, Crit will generally have a greater stat weight than Haste due to the Improved Soul Fire buff (15%) and Dark Intent (3%), along with the many other buffs to Haste (Shadow Priest buff - 5%, Bloodlust, etc).
If you are close to one of the haste thresholds that would boost Conflag's damage, then of course you should go for it. Otherwise, consider all buffs and choose accordingly.
Dec 7th 2010 8:43PM Hope you are all well!
Oct 21st 2010 2:29AM Finished for good -- there was just not enough time between my work schedule, personal issues, and future responsibilities to put together a current, clean, and consistent column. Believe me, the editors and I tried to make it work, but in the end we decided that it would be best to find another writer. While I enjoyed the experience, the community deserves more than what I was giving, so I put up a summoning stone, hearthed, and left a stellar group.
On that note: you will not find a better staff than that working behind the scenes at WoW Insider. Even given some serious bad luck, they remained supportive and understanding of my situation. I appreciate them even more now than I did before, and that is saying a lot because I have had a great deal of respect for them since stumbling onto the site years ago. Dan-O should adopt Kralnor's words, because they cannot be any more true -- "my staff is a good one" indeed.
As for part 2 of the rotation post, it will not see the light of day here, but it may see the dark of night on my blog. Maybe. =P Probably the best place to find out if it happens is my twitter feed, @jagoex.
